About Hashi

Hashi is a logic puzzle.

Connect islands by horizontal and vertical single or double bridges such that in the end, all islands are connected with the indicated number. Note that bridges may not cross other bridges or go over islands.

Note that the solution is always unique.

You can get hints when stuck.

Different sizes can be played and some further properties of the puzzles may be customized.

Now there is also an expert mode where triple bridges are possible.

You may choose between two color schemes (white on black or black on white).

I play games on pc, mobiles and tablets. Ive played games since they began (like zx spectrum games). But I've probably spent more time on this little game than any other title I've ever played. Yep, more than skyrim, or micro machines 2. Why? Because its perfect - it just presents the pleasant logic puzzle in an elegant way with no non-sense. I play this any time I have to wait for something, as its perfect for short 5 minute games. Played it for 6 years and I still haven't tired of it. Well done!

On my new s7 there's no menu button. I've tried the two work arounds for this sort of issue but neither worked (long press multitasking button nor the "more options" in the assistant menu). This leaves me with only the most simplest game to play.

Cannot access menu since upgrading my phone to Galaxy S6 edge. Was reading that long press on back button works in some apps to get menu, but does not work for this app. Too bad, cant use it any longer.

M70%
by M####:

This is my go to game when I have to wait. Each game doesn't take too long so can get several instant gratifications which is a mood enhancer.

by G####:

Overall, it's a great app. Just one minor irritation: after fully closing the app, the first puzzle displayed is always the same one. It would be nice if I didn't have to press New Puzzle every time I reboot (which is pretty often for me).

Z70%
by Z####:

I love this game, but on the newer galaxy phones there is no menu button. That means no options, no reset (biggest problem for me), etc... can't change the variety ...

I played this game years ago but forgot it's name. Ironically I was looking for a puzzle and it jumped up. I LOVE IT, there are still bugs though.

Y70%

Graphics are rather simple, but puzzle games don't really need good graphics, simple is good. Controls are rather uncomfortable, but generally acceptable. Ability to generate a puzzle with wanted difficulty/size is awesome.

Hard to tell on double bonds. Won't do landscape. Cant fond any menu to change settings. NOT intuitive.

I play this daily on my phone and is fine but on my tablet there is no menu. Shame because it rocks otherwise.

P70%
by P####:

Doesn't ask for any unnecessary privileges, doesn't waste your time with splash screens. Plus, it's one of my favorite puzzles. =)

Game is great, best implementation I have tried out. However after upgrading to a new phone with no menu button, I can not get to the menu to change settings or start new levels.

M70%

I loved playing this game but gave a low rating because there is no menu on my galaxy s5. Many have already mentioned the bug but it hasn't been fixed.

Z70%
by Z####:

Menu not showing up, after initial game it is stuck forever since you can not start a new one.

The "..." control doesn't appear, probably because Tab 4 has permanent buttons. Should be updated to modern controls.

I used to love this game on my old phone (HTC One Mini 2) but since changing to Samsung Galaxy A3 I cannot play it as I have no menu, no way of asking for hints, resetting or asking for a new puzzle :-(

S70%
by S####:

Used to love it, but the menu button no longer works on new phone. not even if you press and hold the multitasking window button. wish there could be an update! cant change game settings now :(

Z70%
by Z####:

Fantastic implementation to a fantastic game. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to sit and while away time :D

M70%
by M####:

This is a very solid implementation of this game, with a lot of room to tweak levels to change the size or difficulty. Does not bug you with ads, and requires no permissions at all! Visually no-frills, but not at all bad to look at. The feature where you can share levels with a friend by sharing the settings and the board number is a very nice touch. If my daughter keeps playing this game I'll probably spring for the donation version.

My phone (HTC one mini) doesn't have a built-in menu button, so I can't access the menu at all. I would love to see a workaround for this because I really like the app.

Thanks for the info on how to find the menu button on the Galaxy S5, looking forward to playing my favourite game again.

I just discovered Bridges puzzles and wanted to see if there was an app. This one is simple and customizable and works perfectly!

I70%
by I####:

I've really enjoyed this, especially the triple bridge version. Ideal game for filling those tiny moments in between.

Q70%
by Q####:

4 stars only because it does not properly save puzzle during a phone restart. Otherwise it is handsdown the best hashi app I have yet used. Zoom function very usefull on a small screen.

D70%
by D####:

This is The One. It uses an algorithm which you can set to your desired board size & difficulty to generate the boards, so there's essentially an infinite number of boards. For free. Without ads. What more could you want? I tested it for a day and immediately bought the paid version, the developer more than deserves it.

F70%
by F####:

No menu. All i get is the hashi game. No other buttons or menu button to click on for all of the bells and whistles.

D70%
by D####:

it is a cool game but it is not sensitive enough.

D70%
by D####:

I love the game. The interface is simple. An easier undo (attached to the back button) and redo feature would be useful.

D70%
by D####:

Great game with a great interface design. The 2 missing and most necessary features are the undo (and maybe redo too) and "keep screen on" options. I will pat for the application as soon as I find a job! Thanks for this great and addicting app!

W70%
by W####:

My only request is that night mode use higher contrast colors, such as bright red and bright green.

D70%
by D####:

Excellent and addicting puzzle, without ads or bloated permissions!

D70%
by D####:

Simple design but it's all there: logic, difficulty, addictiveness. It's already a great game but as an improvement, I would add a "mark" & "undo to mark" function. I also agree with an earlier suggestion of implementing a "keep screen on" option. Kudos to Ivo Blochlinger!

R70%

The detail is excellent. I am especially impressed with the hints. I don't like the sounds, but I'm okay with turning them off.

D70%

Addictive. I Love it.

P70%
by P####:

I love the interface, so clean and precise. Plenty of settings too. My only suggestion is that the option for a timer would be fun, perhaps with a "fastest time" board. Thanks!

Hashi puzzles generated in randomized patterns.

B70%

Very simple, uncluttered app. Would consider paying for this app but don't know if there are any extra features.

D70%
by D####:

Everything I wanted from a Hashi app, and even some things I didn't know I wanted.

X70%
by X####:

It is nice to see a Good App, with NO underhanded, excessive Permissions --- Just Honest Functions. Interesting Puzzle, too. Much Thanks to Developer.

X70%
by X####:

Best of all hashi games. Generates new maps unlike some which require downloading or paying! Sometimes it seems to take longer generating maps than other times which to me shows the complexity of the program.
