From the NFB VR Lab, Cardboard Crash is a virtual reality experiment questioning the ethics of artificial intelligence algorithms in self-driving cars.
After launching the app and placing your smartphone in a Google Cardboard viewer, you'll find yourself in a self-driving car forced to make a difficult decision in an unavoidable crash event.
When artificial intelligence makes these decisions for us, should we hold them to an ethical standard? Given varied cultural and individual ethics, who should be designing these algorithms, and how should they be chosen?

A great interactive movie which exictes you to reflect about the great topic "who should decide how machines should behave in some situations". Because of the beautiful design and the innovative new attempt to tell the story you must see this short interactive movie. The only problem is that at the end there happens so much that I have a frame rate about 1fps. -- Ein toller interaktiver Film, welcher wunderschön animiert wurde und einen zum Nachdenken anregt.

I like the message and topic, it makes big point. But if its designed for glasses that DO have input button to confirm my choice, timeloading of the same option and immediate repeating of narrators description is contraproductive and very disturbing - i cant read properly what panel in front of me has to say because im disturbed with both voice and 'fear' i ll choose the option i dont want to chose. Would be great to add settings option where user chooses what headset he has and according to that app reacts

I design VR viewers and none seem to converge properly in this app. What did you set your IPD to since none of my profiles can correct for it and they work fine in other Google Cardboard compatible apps.
