This app is exactly what I was looking for. Every rom I've downloaded for it has worked perfectly and it's so easy to use, you don't even need to use a PC and put your phone into debugging mode etc (like it says in the description) just download a rom, go into your files, find GENPlusDroid folder and move your rom to the folder - no need to unzip or anything. I can't believe this app is free, I'd happily pay for it!

Any way to make it such that the save file, .srm and/or .gsv, which for desktop emulator to be use on this android emulator? I'm playing shining force 2 on desktop, tried putting the srm file in android, doesn't work.. Best it could work between desktop and android, this way I can continue the game without playing both twice together.. and also the music on android for shining force is rather slower than on desktop.. the game play is fine but the music is way too slow.. it wasn't like this before..

I can't complain too much, it's a good free emulator. My only issue is with the direction pad. Would be nice if it was floating like most galmeloft ones. It's in a set position and doesn't respond well to dragging your thumb. You have to lift and tap. This was on Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

It's a good emulator, probably the best around here, but it has one MAJOR flaw which is unacceptable and I will not give it 5 stars until it is fixed. The emulator doesn't let me Double "C". A bunch of games need double "c" for high jumps, but it just doesn't work. A and B work perfectly fine, but C doesnt want to input a double tap

I love this emulator! It's so easy to use, especially for people who don't know how to work emulators. Phantasy Star, Sword of Vermilion and Shining in the Darkness run so smoothly without glitches. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I can't access the Game Genie option. Top quality!

Thank you so much for making this. My one and only complaint is the controls... They need to be fixed because touch controls need to be more flexible since there aren't any real buttons. I'm really glad that this was made though so I can play all my Sonic games as well as the hacks. :)

I had an s4, and it worked perfectly fine because the phone still had a menu button on the device. Now that I have the note 4, I know longer have that, and I cannot access settings in order to save game state or anything else during play. I always lose my state now. This issue needs to be addressed. If you have no interest in accessing settings during play, however, this is still a great emulator.

Love this app. I especially appreciate how customizable it is. My only complaint is it seems to have a little bit of a choppyness problem with some of the more action heavy games like earth worm Jim 2. Though that may be due to my phone having nearly no ram lol. Either way awesome app and well worth a download

This app is really easy to use. Dead easy to add games from a direct download on the phone. Still the app happen to crash sometimes and the controlers are two small (not talking about the button size but how precis you must be to be sure to press on one..) I would be happy to pay or donat for an updated app.

There's no option to exit to the home screen (not even a capacitive back button does the trick), so you have to close the emulator entirely and reopen it. Also does not work with Moga controllers, despite drivers being installed and in effect. Two big deal breakers that now equal an uninstall.

This is an excellent app! Long ago retired the old sega console but this app has brought it back. Play all the old classics and even those games you wanted but couldn't find. I have had no problems at all with this app. Would like to know if you can link two phones for 2 player action? Great app highly recommended!!!! Lovin it!!

It's great, probably the best on the play store. Also the rewind is a great feature not available on most emulators I've used. Also no ads in gameplay :D . The buttons can be annoying to get used to however. Some sort of vibration feedback would be a nice feature. It's simple and it works well, even if It doesn't have some features.

This emulator was fantastic, until a recent phone update. Now I can no longer access the menus after loading a rom. Nothing happens when I press the back button and there is no other way to access the menus. So it has become unusable. I hope they fix it soon. If so, I'll update the review to 5 stars. If it works for your phone, I highly recommend it.

...here comes sonic! Thx for the memories. What I can't hardly believe, cause I couldn't remember the name, I found an old game, kid chameleon. Yup that's the game I spent hours on, it's tripping me out. It was so larger than life back then. So cool to see again, thanks again, simulator works perfectly.

The only issue I've had is sound SLIGHTLY out of tune, I'm on a Moto G. People who skip past the instructions at the start (first time you boot it) then complain are idiots, as are people wondering why you need a computer.

I live this app! The only problem is I find myself having to un- and then reinstall it every couple of days in order to load roms. The controls can be a little wonky. But these are a small price to pay for the greatness this app provides.

Despite efforts to adjust button placement and size, I still struggle sometimes to hit the button. I'll move my finger all over the thing with no response. Overall though, pretty awesome. Love playing those old Sega master system games like choplifter and Alex kidd in miracle world!

As the title states, it works rather well. However, I am disappointed that my preferred device orientation is unavailable. Another application refers to it as 'reverse landscape', and it's my usual way of running applicatioms. I can work around it, but it's an inconvenience for me since I use an OTG cable.

Thanks for the ability to go to external storage! Now i can find my roms. Phantasy star IV runs smoothly. i couldnt figure out how to resize or remove buttons from the virtual pad but everything else is good. Could also have different fast forward speeds to use.

Brilliant emulator. Great for single player. I tried to play with 2 moga controllers though and it wouldn't recognise a difference between them which led to both controllers being mapped as the same buttons. Any chance of a fix, cos I wanna get my streets of rage on.

Sad to say that it doesn't work. Load a ROM results in a black screen, then going back to menu. Tried with many ROMs. Changing the ROM directory in settings also won't stay; settings keep going back to default. The UI is also quite poor. Hope it improves!

It's a great app. I love it for the fact that I can play some my favorite games. Only problem, is sound. It's hard to fully enjoy the game when the sound is a bit off. Other than that I am enjoying it with my Moga controller. Made gaming so much fun with this app. Love it for gameplay, just a little annoyed with the sound.

No longer runs sega cd and has ads. Switching to MD.emu though I swore I had paid for this one when it was ad free. Oh well...

If you tweak the settings a little you can play your game with no frame rate issues. The thing that messes up is playing Sound, it slows the game down and it's very choppy. Another thing I don't like is the dpad controls, and I tried making the dpad larger but after I do that the app crashes and I won't be able to play my game anymore unless if I uninstall the app... Although this app is great when playing Sonic 2 on Mute!

I installed the latest version on my Android phone but to my dismay, I could not save the settings for the srom folder location because of the freaking ad covering the the submit button. These ads were not there on the previous versions that i have installed before but to my disappointment, I couldn't save the settings because of the ad coveeing the Submit button. There's no way you can close it! Please fix it.

The save states rock. The roms are better than most paid for Android games. Shining in the Darkness on my phone? Excellent. Streets of Rage 2 on the train back from work? Awesome. Buttons are fidgety, mind, but what can you do? Wish navigation looked nicer...

Runs ROMs with ease and the ability to reconfigure the inputs is great but for my Nexus 7 the 'start' button has disappeared off screen and I cannot find it to move it back on screen! This is problematic when trying to start playing Sonic :( pls fix!

Can't open the menu to access setting and game states, the menu will open then close less than a second after, can't even click any of the options. Worked fine on my s4, loved the fast forward/rewind feature.

While trying to play shining force 2, everything works perfectly aside from the app crashing from an error. If anyone has played the old console games then you know how frustrating it is to have all of your game data wiped to last save due to an error from the app. I'll give 5 stars when i stop seeing this message. I've got a Samsung s5 phone.

App works great except for one annoying flaw unless I'm completely blind. Ihit the back button on my Galaxy Tablet.... looked all over the screen while trying out Altered Beast.... there's no way to just exit a game without closing the ENTIRE APP.

Doesn't work with my PS4 controller. Button mapping goes just fine, but when you try to play a game it doesn't respond at all. The sound quality is utter crap and unforgivable. No graphics options like hq2x, scanlines, or any of the other expected stuff. Don't waste your time with this. I wish we had Kega on Android, now that's a Sega emulator!

Nice controls.... Even for small phone. .... one problem dough- _-EVERY EMULATOR HAS A CHEATS OPTION WHERE YOU CAN ACTIVATE CHEAT!!!!! I would rate 5 stars buuuuuttttt....

No region selection means you get locked into 50hz slow mode - No dropbox support or any simple way to get roms on the device, no way of exiting games other than switching away from the app and killing it from the running apps interface, does not respect the back button. audio is not represented well. Huge frame lag in input as well, using a bluetooth controller there is a significant pause before input is recognised

BEST APP EVER! Works on my 'Acer: Iconia-B1'. Easy to use. Music is a Tone off. Despite being called a Mega Drive Emulator, it also plays Master System Games. Having this meant I Sold "Sega: Mega Drive Collection" (PS3). Unfortunately, this App has been replaced by a 'Dingoo: A330'.

Laggy, poor frame rate. On a different app I have no problems. My new app runs all my games clear.

Use this on my daily commute to play SOR2, Sonic, EA Hockey, Road rash and RKAdventures. Happy days! :)

For those with sound issues, go into your settings and turn the sample stretch down to 0%. That should cause sound to be normal

I really like this app and it'll be great to play sega mega cd games, or am I doing something wrong? Cause I tried to play sonic cd and it doesn't recognize the game
