Goemon was a legendary off-the-law in the 16th century, it served as a kind of Robin Hood Japanese, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. According to legend, Goemon was originally a Genin - ninja apprentice - the Iga clan, until he decided to become a missing-nin (or ninja runaway) and form a group of thugs who attacked wealthy merchants, feudal lords and clergy.
