- Why do some pitches "rise"? Is that even possible?
Pitches do not actually rise... but the pitch graphic represents what it feels like in real life. Some pitches appear to "rise" because, due to backspin, they drop less rapidly than your eyes expect them to.
- What does "Go With the Pitch" mean?
To "Go With the Pitch" is to hit the pitch in the same direction it is pitched. For example, if the pitch is thrown over the right side of the plate, you need to hit it to right field.
- Why does a blue border sometimes appear at the edge of the screen?
A blue border appears when you activate certain Focuses. For example, if you are using the "Rhythm" Focus, a blue border will appear when you wiggle the cursor because it activates the timing bonus.

I downloaded this game quite awhile ago while it was still free. As stated in other reviews it's unfortunate the monetary decision made by the devs. There are many other ways of monetizing a game other than free at first then pay. Options would be a non intrusive Google banner, or as others stated, limiting free to beer league and under. Also would like to see the app developed more - pitch speed showing/variable, hit distance showing, explanations of options, etc. Ultimately I don't feel like it's developed enough to ask for money. Edit: another issue, not with the game, but with your replies: you are very defensive and don't review them as constructive criticism. To further expand to explain: what if I wanted 90 percent on one pitch and 60 on the next. And instead of having to click on icons after pitch, a stat box after each pitch would be nice

I've read the replies on other reviews, but unfortunately I don't agree with the developer. There are better ways to monetize the game other than completely blocking the core functionality. EDIT: as I said I've read your other comments and disagree. Listen to the other downloaders as well

I like the game for sure... i will say the reviews were very very misleading. .. i was expecting to play for a little while then be asked to buy the game.. you get 1000 pitches before i get asked to buy it ive played for over 2 hours now and still have 700 pitches left... game is pretty cool with a much longer free period then these other reviews make it seem good job man entertaining game for sure!

Ive wanted something like this for a while. The pitch and hit physics are smooth. What if you showed a quick color at the beginning of the pitch to differentiate a change-up from a fastball, curve from a slider, etc. Kind of like MVP baseball 2005. The harder the game gets the shorter time you have to see what kind of pitch it is.. cool stuff! I actually came across this myself in the play store and not reddit. Would love to see distance

Sorry accidentally deleted last review. Great simple game. Though I would like to know how to hit better. Too many yellow balls. Hints as to why a yellow ball is yellow and not green would be useful. What did I do wrong - what would have made it a hit? Like when I miss(red) it tells me I'm early or late. The same thing would be useful for yellow balls also.

Excellent app with smooth gameplay. But I would love it even more if there were heaps of career statistics, like batting percentages, longest hit, most pitches seen in a game, etc.

Some of the stuff is a little unclear. I don't fully understand the XP system, although maybe I just didn't read well enough. But the game is so hard I hate you :)

Fun but not worth it. As other people have said, you shouldn't restrict people from the entire game unless they pay for it. There are other baseball games available that I can kill time with that are entirely free EDIT: "hours" of gameplay? Let's generously say you get a pitch every 5 seconds. 1000 pitches is 5000 seconds, 5000 seconds is 83 minutes. that is less than an hour and a half.

Imagine downloading a fun turn based game and returning to it a while later.. Only you find that you will now have to pay for turns. Thats what happened. You are now 'allowed' 1000 pitches before being forced to pay if you want to continue playing. Edit: LOL I think the developer is broken. Hes stuck on 'repeat'. Edit 2: yes but I already had explained it. You act like I lied about something. I laid it out for them quite well. Your game was free, it is no longer.

It's everything I ever wanted. This guy even understands the importance of framerate in timing games like this, and includes an FPS monitor in the game. This app is like a dream come true. EDIT: Real bummer negative replies about the costing money for pitches. This game deserves to be a flat out $5 or $10 paid game, just think of this like a demo, it's what, $3 for unlimited pitches? My advice to the dev would be instead of limiting the pitches, limit the progression and the pitch types, and call the free version the demo. Maybe make it so you can't go past Beer League and a few stats. Add a google ad banner on the main screen. Then have a separate entry in the Play Store for the ad free paid full version with all the extra levels and pitch types. Psychology is a funny thing.

Loved the game at first, was a little disappointed when the pitch rationing was introduced but i paid the three bucks after a week or so and it was so worth it. Simple game, challenging and lots of fun.

I love the game, fluid animations, crisp artwork. Looks lovely and plays well, but im even more impressed with the shareware model for distribution! Thank you for no ads and no micropayments. That in itself is worth paying for.

Great game, simple yet challenging and fun. Probably my favorite baseball game on the play store. I wish it were completely free but I understand that people like to get paid for the work they do...not sure why people are upset by that.
