Tri D Chess

Standard chess gets boring and predictable. This game mixes things up a little and keeps chess fun and new again. It's great for fans of both chess and Star Trek.

It's fun, but the sound when a piece is taken is a bit irritating. I like it other than that. A less harsh sound would be nice since pieces getting taken happens so often in a game.

Love this game. Finally get to learn how to play without buying a board I risk never using. My only concern is there's no explanation of the three rule sets, so I always play Federation

Amazing a game like this one can be created from a TV series prop. I really could use a straight guide though.

I have been waiting a long time for a decent Tri D chess game for Android and this did not disappoint! Even if you are very good at chess, this game adds a whole new dimension to gameplay (pun intended). There are plenty of options to keep the game interesting and the AI is reasonably intelligent. I appreciate that you can zoom in and out, as well as change perspective. My only complaint is that the graphics are a little buggy, but I am sure that minor error will be corrected in later editions. I strongly encourage the programmer(s) to keep up the good work. This one might be worth buying.

1) I reaaally hope you will add the ability to play other devices so we can play our friends! It seems surprising that you haven't already. We should be able to have multiple games going with friends at once and get alerts when they've made a move. This is my most important request. Please don't tarry. 2) It's a little awkward to quit/start a new game once the game is lost. I would recommend making the transition a little smoother than having to hit Back, Back, etc. I love this game!!!

3D UI is excellent but control of rule variations and feature selection is too limited. No position editing, no game export as text file (must share via email), no notation variations, adds partially block settings on tablets. Text of 3rd rule set sometimes not visible on some screens. Various chess concepts not considered in rule design. Crash on attempt to open rule variations file. Rooks can't cross between attack boards in fed variation. Move #s wrong. Should be 1 white, black not 1 w 2 b

"Needs more DLC." Just kidding. This is excellent work; I've enjoyed a couple games so far, paid for no ads, and I'm happy with my purchase. The other Tri-D Chess programs I've tried in the past were horrible. Is a Windows or Linux compile planned for the future?

Excellent app now that they seem to have fixed the problem with galaxy S7 edge. I like the fact that you can choose different rule sets - Meder, Federation etc.

Really good interface. Easy to jump in and start playing although the game itself is hard to master. Playing on a phone-size screen can be difficult, a tablet is much better. The directions and help included are great. I recommend paying the small fee for the game. You will gain a little more viewing area, and encourage the programmer to continue to make improvements to the game.

Made my own board long ago but this allows me to practice as many of my friends are intimidated by the tri-d board! Love that it supports different rule sets too!

Good but need some better rule descriptions in some parts. Very frustrated not realizing pawns can take backwards on the attack board.

I think the rules may need to be looked at, as I don't think you can castle as a first move, which the AI always does (so far). I love how you can rotate it to see it from all angles, but the menu could use some subtitles.

Love this game, but you have to if you are a Trekkie. Problem is it works at first when reinstalled then starts to force close every time on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Obvious compatibility problem with Android Marshmallow. Will increase rating once fixed.

It crashes now at loading screen. At first all was well but won't load now. Samsung Galexy Note 5! Please help or rating will have to change.

I have a real tri chess board at home. But can't always find someone to play. This is a great game and plays like the real thing, I love it!

Would be great if you could chose different chess piece characters and different backgrounds like the enterprise board room. Good game tho.

Good programming, clean-cut rules, beautiful overall. A must-have for any Trekkie like myself.
