ASCII pOrtal is an ASCII 'demake' of Valves Portal.
The original PC version was created by Joe Larson of Cymons Games (http://cymonsgames.com/asciiportal/). Play online http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10783123/games/asciiportal.html
Use the onscreen gamepad or swipe to move.
Fire the portals using the onscreen buttons or tap the screen. Use a long press to clear the portals.
Play your own maps by placing them at /mnt/sdcard/au.radsoft.asciiportal/maps/.

You have to be familiar with Portal or you won't understand it clearly. Could use more levels. Only the default map set will load for me - I hope they fix that soon.

I played this all the time on my android, lost my android, got an iPhone hand me down, couldn't stop thinking about this game, got another android and I am excited to be playing this again. :)

Do I just expect more from a game? Game makes no sense. It wants me to press space bar, THERE IS NO SPACE BAR. No instructions for what the buttons do, plus the buttons get in the way of the menus. Just overall a very a STUPID WASTE OF MY TIME.

Proof Positive that not all games need to be graphical extravaganzas. I gave 5 stars on the Graphics, because they serve the purpose in the simplest manner possible and yet remain clever. Very good time waster and thinking game.
