About Gary Chalk's Gun Dogs

Tin Man Games presents Gary Chalk’s Gun Dogs, a gamebook with art by the legendary illustrator Gary Chalk, famed for his work on the legendary Lone Wolf series. Co-creating Gun Dogs is Jamie Wallis of Greywood Publishing.

You have been charged with treason against the Empire and placed on death row. The Emperor offers you a choice: die a slow and humiliating death or serve as a Gun Dog, a soldier assigned impossible missions and tethered by a magical collar. The collar will choke you to death if you disobey your mission orders.

You will be sent where an army cannot go and an angel would fear to tread. You are expendable. You are a Gun Dog.

** REVIEWS **

"Packed with action, intrigue, and gore - and excellently told and illustrated by Wallis and Chalk, respectively - Gun Dogs could well be Tin Man's most accomplished gamebook to date." - POCKET GAMER - 9/10 - GOLD Award!

"In a sense it’s a familiar world for those used to Fighting Fantasy tales, but refreshingly, this is a story one hasn’t traveled along before. It remains at the same level of quality however, with the artwork proving a particular delight. Fans of the Lone Wolf books will particularly appreciate the work, given both come from the same illustrator." - 148 APPS - 4/5

"Presents a detailed and pleasingly old-school fantasy world, bought vividly to life with Gary Chalk’s excellent artwork. Fun and quick to play through, with decent replay value." - GAMEZEBO - 4/5

"The fact that Gary Chalk, the illustrator behind the original Lone Wolf books, is involved in this production is more than enough to get interested in Tin Man Games' newest release. The fact that it's an amazingly-written story is more than enough to keep you playing it over and over again." - DIGITALLY DOWNLOADED - 4/5

It seems like it's a good game but it keeps crashing on the menu screen.

Z70%

Gary Chalk's drawings are grubby, energetic, baroque and a little bit twisted, making him a perfect artist for early Warhammer. He brings the same quality to this particular book where you're a simple lackey on his way to a fortress and gets caught up in small scale misadventures. That's it...there's nothing epic in scope about Gun Dogs. But that's to its strength, you're a schlub thrown in because you're a criminal who can hold his own in a brawl. You get good equipment but that's because the world is an unusually dangerous one. There's no world to save, no Dark Overlord to kill and this book doesn't need one.

I am very disappointed that the developer was never able to fix issues with crashes that rendered play impossible. It finally works with the newest Android. The story is good, and the artwork is well done. I finished the story in about an hour. I look forward to future Gun Dog adventures.

I had very high hopes with Gundog. I have a nexus 9 . I am very disappointed that it crashes on main menu load up. Unplayable because of this. Sent emails to developer and now waiting for a fix.

This one is worth playing multiple times. There are lots of different paths in the early game, and lots of good art to unlock.

Tinman have a record of producing high quality game books and their game engine enhances their offering. It is a shame then that their latest outing is so poorly written. From grammatical errors, through a bizarre imbalance in the amount of detail provided, to fundamental issues with pacing and plotting (the back story is both ridiculous and poorly executed) the most important aspect of a game book - the story - has been sadly neglected here. Best avoided.

Doing my third play-through. Thoroughly enjoying this title, and I was sad to find at the end of my first one that this is the only title in this series so far. Fantastic world, engaging battle system, and a really nice read. Hope there will be more!

That's it? 15, maybe 20 minutes tops on the hardest difficulty? For 6 effing dollars?!

A modern classic. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Well written and fantastic art. Only complaint is that there should be more adventure during the return trip. Can't wait for the next Gun Dog.
