About E-Cyvasse: Online Multiplayer
E-Cyvasse is a new take on the rule set of a fictional game first imagined by the Kings of Volantis called Cyvasse. Now with online Multiplayer!
E-Cyvasse is as elegant as Chess, has a pre-game setup like Stratego, but feels like a tabletop war game (blitzkrieg). It's also fun and easy to learn! Ecyvasse has only one page of rules, which creates a system that's quick to learn, but would take a lifetime to master.
The game starts with each player taking turns setting up all their terrain, then all their pieces. Then play progresses just like chess with each player moving one piece at a time until you kill the opposing king, or move your king into their fortress!
There have been numerous interpretations of the game based on a few quotes from a famous book series, but the majority of these games focus on hyper accuracy to the books. They feature clunky mechanics, over complicated rules, and they aren't something a king of Volantis would be playing.
Online Multiplayer is setup for asynchronous play. Your turn is saved online, and the other player can take their turn instantly, or at a later time. This allows for "live" game play, as well as "play by mail" style where each player takes a turn when they feel like it.
This version is free, no ads, no in in-app purchases, and it will stay that way. The game is currently in open beta, Give it a try! Its in on-going development, so if you have any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions, let me know!
The game is designed for easy play-ability on phones or tablets.
