ColorPopper

You and You CHILD will enjoy this ColorPopper! In ColorPopper we use balloons to teach children colors. The app uses "discrete trial training" for the purpose of encouraging the learning of colors. We keep the color selections to the most common and basic colors. There is initially pictures, matched to audio, so that the child learns how to pronounce the color and spelling is also there. On each screen there is a "Pop that balloon" activity in which children pop the balloon of the selected color of that screen. At the end children get to pop all of the balloons at once, like the end of a birthday party. This game works well for children and parents who want a learning tool that keeps the child engaged, has audio, colors and active learning. This app is IEP based in that it encourages children to learn the colors and offers parent an activity to measure how many of the colors that the children have learned or mastered. Children love popping balloons, why not harness that into a learning activity for kids 6t and under, for children with autism and other special needs.
