אדם וחיה - משחק סולמות ונחשים

המשחק מתבסס על "סולמות ונחשים", ובמהלכו נכנס השחקן לסיטואציות שונות המתרחשות בפינת החי, בחיק הטבע ובבית, וצריך להכריע בשאלה האם מדובר בשימוש ראוי ומותר בבעלי החיים או שמא גרימת צער לבעלי החיים שלא לצורך.

האם מותר לרסס נמלים בבית? האם מותר לדוג לשם בילוי בלבד? האם קניית עוף במכולת היא צער בעלי חיים? האם מותר להרים חיפושית והאם מותר לדפוק על כלוב של תוכי כדי שידבר? על השאלות הללו ונוספות צריכים לענות משתתפי המשחק בסיטואציות השונות.

לצד המשחק הכינו במכון התורה והארץ גם מערכי שיעור בנושא, שמיועדים לבתי ספר יסודיים ומעבירים את התכנים בדרך חוויתית.

דרך המשחק ומערך השיעור לומדים הילדים את גדרי איסור צער בעלי החיים, אולם גם מבינים מתי מותר להשתמש בבעל החיים למטרה ראויה, ומתי מותר לפגוע בבעל חיים הגורם לנזק או מהווה סכנה.
