Reading Eggs Eggy Words 100 is a FREE application designed to help children recognise and learn sight words. Sight words are words that readers should know automatically “at sight”, such as he, the, was and where. This is a sample version of what is featured in Eggy Words 250. You will receive access to the first 100 of 250 sight words using a fun and motivating game to keep kids learning.

For ages 3 and up this app has an initial great pull for little ones. The problem however is that it doesn't have constraints to ensure that the word comes up within a given time. Once there was a gap of over 20 words before the right word returned - needless to say after about 5 my child was done waiting for it and I continued counting. The other issue is that as they do get a run of words the eggs get so small an adult can hardly read them, let alone a child just learning their words. Out of room for more

It's a good app but I have to agree with some other reviewers on the fact that it is just more fun to splat the eggs, pans, pigs etc than to get the actual letters. My 4yo laughs his head off at all the noises etc but it means that there is no incentive for him to actually win the games. My suggestion would be to swap the process and have the correct letters produce a fun response.

Just when she got near 25 eggs I got a phone call that caused us to have to restart. Annoying. Maybe set it at 10. The eggs flying fast for so long makes my eyes feel weird as well.

Cant rate app accordingly but not happy as adobe air wont install on tab 3 and have wasted money on this and eggy 250 and cannot play them.. a refund for both would be nice

Level 1. Swipe the eggs with the letter "a". There is one egg to swipe out of every 20 and they are the slowest moving eggs ever literally sat there waiting to die. Not even going to let my 5 year old have a go because he will find it so boring that he will probably fall into a coma!!

Love that you can choose an accent. Love the word matching. Dislike how long it takes to complete a level. Remove the feature that takes away your wins, lessen the # of wins you need to pass a level, don't wait so long before the correct word appears & you might have a market for 3-4yr olds. As it is, it's boring for my 3yr old. Removed. Sorry. Disappointing.

Huge fans of the website, but this app is either just really boring and too basic, or it takes way too long to "level up" - my K/1st grader are totally bored by not just the mechanics of the game, but the challenge level of the material.

Apparently some of these so called "parents" need to go back to school themselves. This app is for ages 6-12!! Not 3.5 Not 4, but if you would teach them patience then maybe they might learn something!! My 7 & 6 year olds LOVE THIS APP!! BTW my 4 year old does this on his own and IT DOES KEEP HIS ATTENTION!!

My 6 year old finds it too repetitive and slow to get to new words but my 5 year old loves this app keeps her an my 2 year old entertained on long journeys
