Cardinal Quest for Android
Thanks for fixing the game so quickly. Good work
This game is enjoyable, but too short with not enough to do. Would be worth it if the game was less expensive I guess.
I can only give 4 stars until you add scores for lv and floor, gold and maybe achievements and some way to sell stuff. I loved it, floor6 first time and 7th floor scond try. Please add to this the graphics are actually really joyful. The play is leasurful and games dont take too much time.
Nexus 7 2013 on KitKat 4.4 game will not open.
Game doesn't start in KitKat. Gets an error and immediately closes.
Its pretty much got everything you need to keep trying and dying :)
(AMENDED REVIEW: Fixed, works great after update. 5 stars.) Great game on desktops and a great concept for mobile, but sadly does not seem to work on the AT&T HTC One X. Does not fit screen dimensions or register button presses. Any other One X user having this issue? (Unmodded/unrooted/S-ON device)
Controls change from small view to map, often double count taps, and involve tapping perilously to your potions.
Would be a fun game if it were more than a demo. The full version is demo sized. You don't even get to fight the boss. He just leaves when you kill enough minions. I can't believe the other reviews of this game are even real. Big let down.
This is a great concept. Sure, it's better suited to touchscreen play. What many people don't realize though is that the gameplay is streamlined, it's rather fast-paced for a dungeon crawl. The way crits are displayed, the way you don't have to press a key to display --More-- messages when picking up equipment... you can keep playing without any delay. It's perfect for quick 3 minute games whenever you have a spare minute.
Would be nice to see some sort of scoring system implemented. a high score screen maybe? End game review when you sure would be cool.
STILL Doesn't run on my HTC Sensation since the game was released, I've been patient but clearly this will never be addressed.
Could use double the levels, and a way to keep score and use coins. Thief stupid easy, other chars too hard.
Hours of game play fun. I beat the game using all three characters.
I love this game so far, but there are a few problems: *The game doesn't work in flipped landscape mode, so I can't play while my tablet is plugged in on my stand. It would be nice if this was remedied in a future update. *The bottom of the screen appears to be cut off by the android task bar. Newer devices do not have physical bottons, and instead they are across the bottom of the screen. *What's with the sticky broadcasts permission?
I've had a great time playing this. Lots to explore, steady challenge and well designed.
Best roguelike on Android, shame its so unknown. Great retro graphics, music, and challenging game. Wish it was a little longer and a way to turn off auto equip
shows black screen, then plays a chain noise, then exits after 5 seconds when i try to play. htc rezound, android 4.0, unrooted
I was hoping it would be more though, ie more RPG or combat.
Having played Desktop Dungeons on the PC, i was reluctant to destroy my life for a second time and grab this on the PC, but i gave in and got this for my S2, i'm glad i did! This is just a blast for adventure fans and is easily worth the entry fee!
A fun game but it was too easy. All you have to do is pick the theif and take 2 or 3 backstabbing skills then proceed to rolfstomp the game.
Just the right amount of complexity, graphics, pace, etc. Had problems with crashing and choppyness at first, but it cleared up after a reboot on my tablet.
Don't buy this unfinished game. The coins have no purpose. I get the feeling dev didn't really care and just wanted to make money.
I am new to the indie game development scene and decided to read an article by this games dev. It really spoke to me so I decided to buy his game. Love it so far. Thank you for an awesome game
Good fun, nice graphics, good gameplay
Nice and simple roguelike
Gameplay is the best of any roguelike on the go, super smooth, but seriously no beefed up boss battle after all that buildup? Useless coins, totally unbalanced spells. Talk about an ANTICLIMAX. Go play Desktop Dungeons and then add some variety to this unfinished mess.
I love how easy the game is to fire up and enjoy. It's great to have a traditional roguelike that works well on a phone
Downloaded this only to have it crash on an unrooted Nexus 7 FHD. I contacted the developer and I was provided with a working copy! It plays beautifully with no problems so far! Kudos to the great customer service. Also, the game is a great little simple roguelike when you have some time to kill :)
Thanks for fixing the game so quickly. Good work
Recent patches fixed everything. Great little game. Sound and animations feel great.
Great game, hope you make more games like this
Finally, beat the game! Wizard with 3 fire, 1 sleep, and 1 polymorph spell. Romp stomp to the end and a glorious finale. Works perfect on samsung g s2. Encountered zero issues our glitches.
Addicting! Bought the PC version (GameDevBundle) and fell in love. Android version is a great port. Item mgmt is almost auto & is smart so you get to focus on playing. Controls great. Wish game wouldn't close when screen goes off. It saves, just a waste of time to keep starting game up. Overall, best $3 I've spent on a game
Great execution porting the game to android, the game itself is very polished and the touch controls work well. Recommended if you like simple roguelikes (like morgue).
First of all, this game is brilliant. I LOVE retro graphics and a smooth gaming engine so this game is perfect for any retro gamer looking for a simple dungeon crawler. The only downside is that it is too short! When I beat it I was devostated because I just wanted to keep playing. Please make a endless floors mode randomly generated or something? Also, coins currently have to use, so a store would be wonderful. Besides that, keep up the good work guys! :)
Great smooth fast dungeon crawler but as others state, not enough levels, no store to use coins in and no high score hurt lasting gameplay. Feels incomplete for the money.
I know CQ2 is in development but an update for some bugs and to make full screen would be awesome. Please dont forget about us...
The price is rather steep, imho. Althought the game is well made (haven't experienced any bugs yet -Xperia Play) there are some strange UN-rogue-like elements implemented. Why does my character NOT replenish health by walking, for starters? I have yet to see another game that has this feature and claims to be a rogue-like. Also, difficulty spikes. I usually end on the forth floor, if that. Suddenly there appear super-strong enemies of wich 3-4 jump at me at once and... boom. Dead again. Also, my character keeps finding always the same items in dungeons, depending on which class I've chosen. So not much variety here. Otherwise a good game with a retro feel, but the difficulty is unforgiving and should be updated more often.

Great, arcade-style roguelike. The only roguelike I like better is the sequel! This game is extremely addictive, merging turn-based gameplay with Gauntlet-style action.
