It is a gorgeous game, with beautiful music and challenging puzzles. The reason why I am only putting 3 stars is because you have to pay for every new set. I was fine buying the first pack. $0.99 for 36 puzzles was OK, but the next packs are more, and only contain 9 at a time. This only keeps me busy for like an afternoon, and I go for perfects. I'd much rather pay a little more, and only have to pay once to get the entire game, but that would also mean a lot lot lot more puzzles. There is not enough content to my taste...

First of all, my rating doesn't reflect the quality of the game. Let me explain. This game is great, addictive, relaxing and the music is nice and fits very well with the simple graphics. The concept of the game is very creative. But, there are only 9 free levels. I know that it is an indie game and that the developers need money but... Man 9 levels! It is around 10 minutes if you are fast! The real free-to-play game is 10 minutes long! It is definitely not enough for me to give 3 stars.

It was fine and addicting. Then I beat the 9 "A" puzzles and moved to the 9 "B" puzzles, except it wanted me to pay $.99 to unlock the "B" puzzles. I could see several more levels at the bottom of the screen. I'm not paying $.99 for each level of a game that claimed it was free. If it said pay an amount to unlock the rest of the game, that'd be fine. But not this. If you want a paid app, just list it as a paid app in the first place! Don't pretend it's free!

by N####:

The game is fine but the puzzles aren't that challenging. I finished all of the free ones in about ten minutes. After that you're prompted to pay a dollar in order to play the rest of the puzzles. That isn't much and if quick puzzles are what you're looking for maybe it's worth it. However this particular puzzle game doesn't seem worth it to me. It's pretty but there are prettier more engaging puzzle games worth what they charge.

Z70%
by Z####:

The concept is good and the puzzles both calming and challenging, but the extra three levels should come as one purchasable add on rather than three separate things - as it is, the money spent is more than you get. The quality/quantity isn't a proper match. I also managed to solve one of the puzzles under the perfect score, so those could use some improvement.

by Z####:

Actually it's a fantastic puzzle game. But having to purchase the bulk of the "classic" games was an unexpected and unpleasant realization. I got thru the first 9 all perfect, and it would appear that's it. There are 4 more levels and I'm supposed to pay for all those? And then on top of that are the "premium"? packs...which, btw, look great. Somebody is trippin' though. Thanks for the short play.... Uninstalling.

The game itself is amazingly developed and looks wonderful, just one complaint: you only get 9 puzzles free. I finished all 9 in an hour and I'm just frustrated that I have to pay to get more. I understand the developers need to profit off of the game, but if rather have bought it for a few bucks then to be surprised once I knew I liked the game.

Z70%
by Z####:

This game is creative, challenging, visually beautiful and really fun...for only 9 free levels which take you an hour to finish. It was so unbelievable for me that at first I thought there is something wrong with the game so I reinstalled it! I know indie games developers need to make money but only 9 levels?? Seriously?

Z70%
by Z####:

You can only use one hint per level and only 9 levels are free. I played this game for a fun 15 minutes then just uninstalled it. I'd rather know that I'm paying for a game up front, than try to be reeled into buying it after 9 short levels. Fun, but there are plenty free games out there that keep me just as entertained.

I've installed this game 3 times now in the last 2 years after beating it and just wanting to play it again. It definitely keeps you busy and its a fun mind f**k. I'm excited to try out Kami 2 after I beat this one again haha

This is misleading. At the menu you are promoted to choose Classic or Premium games. I assumed the Premium would have to be purchased and I was correct. I now start playing Classic which I assumed would be free. I played the first 6 in about 10 mins. The first few are a tutorial basically. And then it asks me to pay $1.22 to unlock more games. Yea no thanks. By reading comments I see it unlocks 45 more games... But there is no information about that when purchasing. For 1.22 I'd expect close to 100 more.

The app practically showcases itself as free, but after finishing the easiest 9 puzzles it asks for money to unlock the rest. Also being so bold as to take payment for hints as well. It looks great but suffers from greedy developers and bad business models.

I am thoroughly enjoying the game. Idk if it's a bug or an oversight but, for example on classic A9 puzzle if you click brown on one of the single block wide square as its going around you can click red or blue on the opposite side and you can create a new section.

EDIT: love this game, unique, one of my 2 all-time favorites - BUT PLS CREATE MORE CONTENT, PLS!! Unlike reviewers complaining it's not free, I would be THRILLED to PAY for a bunch of new levels. The last 3 levels are WAY too difficult for me, even as I've gotten much better at the game by re-doing earlier puzzles until "perfect," & bought unlimited hints. Seriously, if you knew how much I spent on Two Dots this month, you'd be working on new content just for me personally ;-) Back to work devs.

The game is very good. Nicely done with the puzzles and game play. However, charging for 3 premium packs and having hint purchases at the same time is very annoying. My suggestion would be to make all 3 premium packs in a single bundle with a reduced price. The game itself is very good to hold my attention though.

It's a beautiful game I've had my eye on since its original release. Great puzzle that's easy to learn and you'll come back to use the least moves. I give it 3 stars as it's deceptive. IT'S NOT REALLY FREE. It merely let's you see the first 9 levels and then charges you for the rest. If it were honest about this, I'd give it 5 stars.

Weren't such a tease ;P. I just started to get the hang of things did perfect on every level on first stage then BAM! I have to pay to keep playing!?! I really like this game but i can't even pass the first stage. You do realize if you don't buy the other stages, the first stage is all you have, not even a first stage of premium. Just normal first stage. That's my only complaint. Great grame tho!

A fun puzzle game that's good for passing time. However, I dislike that only a few of the levels are available and the rest must be paid for. And then on top of paying for the classic levels, you have to pay for the "premium" levels. I wish most, if not all, of the classic levels were available to make this an actual free game. Otherwise, very beautiful and enjoyable for those willing to pay.

This is a really nice game! The mechanics are fun, and the colors and overall aesthetics are gorgeous. There are plenty of puzzles, though after the first level (9 puzzles) you pay $.99 for the next four levels. There are three bonus levels, each ~$1. It's a pretty reasonable price overall, and look at it this way--the full game is $4 but you get to try the first 9 levels free! One complaint I do have is that it doesn't sync across devices, despite google games integration.

D70%
by D####:

BEWARE the app developer has to pay rent and feed a family so instead of ads you pay for levels. You only get some simple tutorial levels free, then you buy the rest in packs. DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS MODEL. you either pay or you get ads. Programmers don't spend thousands of hours doing it just for the good of mankind

A beautiful game hidden behind a paywall of lies and deceit. ((Was 5 stars. Here's my old review)It takes the principles of colour flood and actually makes it into a game. There are puzzles here. Something the to work towards. And very artistically done. Love it)

I'm very picky when it comes to game apps. This is one of the only 3 that I play. Good animation and beautiful graphics. Enjoyable and at the same time exercises your mind. BUT, it only offers around 9 puzzles (1 set) then you have to buy the succeeding sets, and it's not even the premium content! Such a letdown so I uninstalled..

This is a fantastic game and well worth the money to unlock things if you enjoy a good puzzle game. It has a beautiful design in everything: game play, graphics, and sound. I only wish I could resume my current puzzle when I slip out of the app to do something and return. Currently the game must load again from scratch. The game also stops any audio playing in the background so I can't listen to music or podcasts while playing.

It's a really lovely game, and is really fun to play, especially with the great graphics. Sadly, if you want to play for longer than 5 minutes you have to pay for it. The prices from there onwards are so high for little game play. Not worth installing if you're not prepared to pay.

Relaxing way to pass time while suffering with the flu. I was folding and unfolding all during my fever dreams too. Its the kind of game when sometimes its best to let your brain ponder it in the background of the days chores, chopping wood washing dishes, only to come back to it with a moment of aha satori - like solving zen koan.

Kami has nice music and is well designed. However, the price isn't reasonable imo. You get the first 9 levels (and 5 hints) free. If you want to play the game's additional 63 levels, it'll cost you $7.05. If you need to buy hints, even more.

Apparently the developers are "greedy" for giving you a sample of a game and then asking for $5 for the entire game that probably took them an incredible amount of time to develop. Stop whining and go get your parents credit card. It's an awesome game and easily worth $5.

Kami isn't the hardest game ever, but it will make you scratch your head every now and then. The answer is always more obvious than it appears to be. Beautiful music and nice relaxing visuals makes for a great game.

I downloaded this game thinking all the classic levels would be free.. they are not. After getting "Perfect" on the first 9 levels, I was asked to buy the rest of the game. What a waste of time. If you're advertising it as free, it should be. Premium levels are one thing to buy, you shouldn't have to with classic game play.

Try hard not to use hints. Instead use a paradigm shift this often help me solve the puzzles. I just wish the whole game was free classic pack worth the money though...I haven't tried the premium yet

The only problem I have is that you have to purchase the "classic levels" once you get past the first nine levels. I thought the classic level would be free since there was a premium level section also. Would redownload if more levels are free.

So far this game has been fantastic. I was just starting to get into the setting of things when they put the test of the game behind a paywall. Maybe if I had a better taste of what's to come I would up my review, and possibly purchase.

I totally understand paying for the PREMIUM puzzles but actually paying to unlock the CLASSIC ones after the being done with the first 9 levels?! SERIOUSLY? This was such an enjoyable game for me but it pretty much sucks when this sort of thing happens. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how I feel.
