HINTS FROM THE DEVELOPERS
#1 - Boost use is a core requirement of the gameplay. Embrace their use. As you get more comfortable with the gameplay, strategize the board before you get started. Using boosts as a part of that strategy will help save them for those critical situations.
#2 - A 9-tile (yes, they get that high) is only scary if it's not sitting next to a 2.

I have never really liked mahjong or puzzle games, but this one got me addicted. Really hard though! Good hard. Great music by waterflame

Great game concept and music composition. The main problem I have, as stated in another review, is the fact that some level generations are impossible without boosts. Although that is a core mechanic of the game, I find I have very few pips to spend on boosts and I end up having to grind 50+ times to get enough pips to have a slightly successful game. I like the direction this is heading in though.

Although the premise, gameplay and music are great. There are some problems that need to be addressed. The biggest problem I came across is with the tile placement on initial generation. Where a 3 is against a single tile, and that single tile is a 1. I literally cannot finish that layer without boosts, and that sucks. Each layer should be possible by default without any boosts. Right now they're not always possible without boosts. Also, a suggestion I have is casual mode. A mode without a timer where I can take my time with the puzzle. Not everyone likes the timer. 3 stars due to the tile placement and lack of casual mode. It will definitely be a good 5 star game if there's a casual mode and proper tile placement.

Waterflame is kewl

I downloaded this game about a year ago after seeing Waterflame's music for it on his channel. I found it pretty good, but soon got tired of the steep difficulty and my inability to get past even the first stage (grey), and so deleted the app. Recently, Waterflame announced that the full OST album was released. I went and listened to the first song, and the nostalgia just came flooding back. I just have to redownload it! I'm so glad that the difficulty issue has been addressed (I saw from reviews that other users had had this problem), and am really enjoying the new(ish?) Christmas puzzle mode. So thank you Playvue and Waterflame for a great time-killer brain puzzle game with an amazing soundtrack. ^^
