Great game. I am so glad they've finally made a CIV game for my phone and that does not cost a fortune to purchase initially. I am not too happy about the large amount they charge for every individual race though. Some variation would be nice (different units for each race, a buy all option for a more reasonable price, different game modes...). Lot of room to grow like the civ games but great start.

If you like Sid Meier's Civilization games but you don't have fifteen spare hours to commit to a game, then this is the alternative you're looking for. All the fun of global expansion and domination, compacted down into a nice mobile platform that can be played in less than an hour depending on how big you choose. My average games run anywhere from ten minutes to 90. Always fun, simple enough while still being interesting. I can't recommend this game enough.

Ive already spent 5 dollars into this game. Worth it. I really enjoy playing it. I wish you guys could put defense towers in the game though, so we can place down towers and also l et us watch the rest of the game when we lose. Over all, this is the type of game I've been looking forwards to seeing on the app store for years. Defense towers, please!

FINALLY! A mobile game to satisfy my itch of games like Europa Universalis and Sid Meters Civilization. The graphics are beautiful, gameplay is fun and simple, and its EASY to play! Just one more thing, Midjiwan, i want to settle new cities, like if you could make a new city but only if you have 30 stars and its limited tiles to the home city.

This game is spectacular! Literally everything about it is amazing. I only play on the hardest difficulty and always have an amazing challenge fighting towards victory. No unit is too powerful, the balance of power is beautiful. The concept while relatively old is brought to life with amazing graphics and unlimited gameplay! Looking forward to the next tripe to be released so I can but it and master yet another race! I highly recommend this game, it's just too good to not at least give a shot!

This is an easy to learn, turn-based strategy game with cute graphics, simple controls, accurate AI, few glitches, and awesome gameplay. In the Battle of Polytopia, you can play in two ways- Perfectionist, for the pacifists, has players competing to construct the best city. There is also Domination, in which players fight to conquer every city. I loved this game, and am very tempted to buy a few add-ons! This is the perfect casual game for the aspiring strategist.

Really nice game, the design is cute and the gameplay is well thought out. I've never experienced any crashes. Am buying all the tribes little by little. I'm SO happy there are no ads in this game, paying for extra content is fine by me. 1€ for a new tribe and extra hours of fun is not much when you consider the prices we pay for our smartphones and other apps or games... Thumbs up to the dev!

Audio glitch every time it opens - great game concept I find it's the next greatest chess game. I personally don't know how anyone can get more than 30k points so I guess I need to keep playing. Or maybe everyone on the leader boards are playing on easy mode but it's never specified

Great game! I just wiah that there was some sort of team battle or a diffrent gamemode. Also I wish that ther was some sort of way to unlock some clans without buying them. Like if you comeplete something or play enough games then a random locked tribe will battle you in a 1v1. If you win then you would unlock set clan forever. Bot if you lose then they would walk away and you will have to try again some time. I hope you add a mexhanic like this. Otherwise really fun game

Pretty good. I realize it's meant to be quick and simple so I won't go into a wish list of features except WHERE IS ONLINE MULTIPLAY. It's the one thing I want in my strategy games. Pick a friend to play, not auto match and NOT PASS AND PLAY

Loved this game so much!!! Basically a Civ lite, loved having this available on my phone. Provides plenty of challenge and cute graphics, my favorite combo! I really loved that the only thing you pay for is optional additional civs/races to choose from. This is not a pay to play the game, it's a true test of skill. Highly recommend it!

Amazing!!! After about a month of playing this game I have realized it is my favorite mobile game of all time. All the tribes soundtracks sound beautiful and high quality with a lot of effort put in. And not to mention amazing diversity between different tribes. Amazing graphics as well, cute and aesthetic poly squares make the map and terrain look so nice. It's also a great game because they aren't shoving ads in your face like many other games. Also it doesn't beg you to rate it, it let's you do anything you want at your own pace. Fantastic game, I've already bought a lot of tribes. What brought me to write this review was how I wanted polytopia to have the player count it deserves. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

It's quite nice, but I do wish that every tribe felt more unique. A starting tech difference and resource discrepancy is quite droll in my view. A unique ability, even if basic (ex: 1 extra movement on road, cities start with 1 population, etc.) would vastly add the replayability to the game.

This game is amazing. Similar to Civilization 1-5, but has it's own twist. The graphics were cute, which I liked. The game didn't have gore, so playing with my family is fun! The only thing I'd complain about is the technology page. Please add more technologies! Anyway, thanks for being great devs! P.S. this was worth my money.

Probably sunk a hundred hours + into this game, and about 20$ in unlocking all races. Love the challenge it brings when first learning the ropes but would more of a challenge for experienced players. Also some significant differences between races (like the new Ocean race) would be awesome

Good for a quick fix but too expensive to unlock the rest of the game. Nearly $14 to unlock the rest of the tribes and additional difficulty levels. Game is fun for a while but once you figure out the tactics you can just rinse/repeat to win every time. Needs more variance between tribes to make different tactics viable. Needs bigger maps. Needs to either charge less for the unlocks or charge maybe $5 up front for the entire game. I'm about done playing it.

A wonderful distillation of 4X games. No tutorial--a bold move. I'm pretty well-versed in 4X strategy, so I figured out most features pretty quickly (zones of control, etc.). I enjoyed figuring it out, but it could be very frustrating if you want to be good right when you pick it up.

Simplified, streamlined Civilization gameplay with cute bit graphics. 1* awarded for the fact alone that it doesn't pester the user with ads, everything gameplay relevant seems to be accessible without pay walls. Didn't even find IAPs beyond t-shirt merchandise. Neat multiplayer "hotseat" mode. Not 5* merely due to the fact that it doesn't hook me for longer periods of time - then again, that's the point of many mobile games I have gathered (giving you short bursts of entertainment), so this is a purely subjective not-full-stars rating. If you prefer such games, feel free to add an imaginary star to this review ;)

Great mobile game, simple enough for a portable game but still complex enough to give you a trill. The best game I have played on tablet. I would love if the tech tree grow bigger. Cons: The comouter is a little easy to beat even at Crazy and the race are expensive to buy.

This is by far the best strategic game I have ever played! With the many different tribes, I can play The Battle of Polytopia in different unique styles, and different troops have dofferent functions that make it challenging and very fun at the same time. In the past, people might think of Chess but grab The Battle of Polytopia, its free!

It's so good! But i have some some suggestions. Firstly make more balanced because the super unit gets more Heath everytime it gets played. secondly fix the omaji faces. They look so weird with the left eye. Lasty make the game full free and then add ads so you get paid. Good game. Good concept Yay

An amazing game to play with friends or by yourself! When you play by yourself against the game it is difficult and a really fun challenge! My only problem is the lack of online play. My only friend that plays this game with me lives 2 hours away and there is no online play to play with him. Other wise amazing game! (Would be fun if it had a trial run for the characters you have to buy)

This game is like digital heroin. Initially there may have been a chance at avoiding its grasp, but after the second use I find myself hopelessly enveloped in its digital clutches. I promised myself I wouldn't spend money on a mobile game, but somehow I've ended up owning all the tribes. Respect to the developer, you've sypihoed hours of my life away with your simple yet oh so challenging game design.

I love this game! Very excited for new clans and multiplayer. Really hope you'll come out with bigger map options for fewer players. Fog of war would also be really cool. I made this review a while ago, still love the game, but PLEASE make bigger world options.

I love this game so so much. I love that they're still adding new tribes, I love every update and the balance changes that come with them they are always well thought out. My gf doesnt even like strategy games and she likes playing against me on this. Play this game!

It's a great game endless fun words cant describe how much I love this game. I can't wait to get new tribes thank you. I can win crazy 9 people, can you make a mode where the ai has an unfair advantage to make it harder? Like 1.5 more stars per round, or give them 2 cities to start.

I love this game, and it's a mobile alternative to Civilization. There are some things that could be done to improve the experience of the game. 1) When playing multiplayer, show the name of the player instead of "Bardour", for example. One of my friends had become confused on who was who in a three way game. 2) In landscape mode, have the buttons smaller and the shades at the top and bottom of the screen less intense (or more transparent, you get it). It takes up a lot of space on the screen. If you could possibly add an online multiplayer feature, that'd be brilliant!

Hands-down the best strategy game I have played on mobile! Very addictive and challenging -- depending on difficulty, battles can range anywhere from 15 to 50 minutes. Besides additional tribes, everything is free-to-play with absolutely no freemium-type "energy" systems. Highly recommended ☑️

Super fun game. Auto generated terrain is an awesome feature. I would love to see bigger maps, but as is, the games last about 30 to 40 minutes. Perfect for a quick(ish) match. Looking forward to seeing this game evolve. Update: as much as I love the mechanics of this game, I've found a glaring weak point. Unless you become very dominant early on in a round, it tends to turn into a gritty stalemate where you're losing as many units as you're producing each turn. This is especially frustrating when a cpu can afford to churn out 6 to 8 catapults each round and even a super unit becomes essentially useless. This aspect alone reduces the replay value for me.

Seriously addicting for those who enjoy Civ-like games. The skill levels need much finer gradations though. The jump from easy to "normal" is too far, especially when you get a map with too much water. If that problem gets fixed, I would be willing to pay for some of the paid content.

Really unlimited replay. I've been playing this game for about four months now, and still not tired of it. No ads, and limited tracking. I like the idea of pass and play, but haven't really tried it with friends yet. Keep it going Midjiwan, I look forward to your future releases.

Well I love the game but I have some ideas on what coupd be added, such as a multi-player mode where you can connect on a local server, along with the pass and play. The tribes are very expensive and some do not add much to the game but are still incredibly fun to have. There should be a campaign for the original 4 tribes that way we know what we are fighting for and why. Lovely concept and the graphics are adorable! Thank you for reading my questions and concerns.

I don't give 5 star reviews unless I seriously like the app, but this game is amazing. I don't know why it's free, but you should download it while it still is! They could honestly charge $5 and I would buy it, this is a really great strategy game!

Really fun but with drawbacks. I know it's not a civilization Sid game but it would be nice to offer peace instead of conquering all enemies. Also maybe adding area expansion and map generation as an option for ex. Select island for island map, continent for nothing but land, dessert for mainly a dessert setting. Possibly more tech. Games getting too fast for my taste.

I usually don't write review but this game is so good. Everything is amazing, the concept, strategy, graphic... One thing I recommend for future updates is adding campaign for each tribe, that will make it worth more to buy new tribes.

I have been playing for a few months and since I first opened it I have had no interest in other games. Graphics and simplicity are great. The only change I desire is growth. More tribes, more tech, bigger maps. Then I could spend 3 hours playing one game as opposed to four or five.

D70%
by D####:

I rated it for gameplay, content, options, how fast you learn it, and how much strategy it involves. Gameplay was 5 stars because I really like the concept of this game. 2 stars for content mostly because I don't want to spend money on this game and because of that, more than 1/4 of the game is unavailable. Options would be 4 stars. There isn't that many options, but the options it has are all you really need. How fast you learn it would get 4 stars because I learned pretty fast, but a lot was by myself. Finally, I'd rate 5 stars for its strategy aspect. That averages out to 4 stars.

A70%

The game itself is excellent, feels like a basic version of civ V, but the small map and the colours keep it back from 5* The map size is obvious, but the colours have no blending whatsoever so the land is just a mess of colours, to the point where I would actually call it ugly. A graphics revamp would be needed, but the low poly style is nice.

D70%
by D####:

Nice basic game. The in-game rating system is severely skewed to keep you under the 3 star maximum you can earn. Would like cities further apart so when you increase your borders, you don't gobble up territory that should belong to an unclaimed city. Or make the immediate territory surrounding an unclaimed city immune to border expansion. Would like increased map size and up to 6 enemy AI's on a map. Would like victory conditions to be customizable. I also purchased Luxidor but without a workshop and a native tech, it isn't worth it. It can be resource matched by other races in only one turn. Keep up the good work.

This game is the best by far. I love how you play this game and it's overall style. Just one thing I recommend is they need to update this game. I play this game everyday with my friend. I am just saying the game has started to bored us. But I really do appreciate the time you took to make it and do recommend this game.????????
