Mr.Hocklenutty's Magic Glasses

This app includes a children's book written by S F Hochman. It's narrated and illustrated with 4th graders. It's followed by an interactive 30 question quiz developed by the same talented and impressive group. The story was "field tested" on children between the ages of 7 and 77! Yes, there's a major lesson here for us older adults. Mr. Hocklenutty's Magic Glasses can provide a good 30 minutes to an hour of quality time shared by grandparents with their favorite little people.

That’s how this modern fable begins. By the end of the story old Mr. Hocklenutty is quite happy and feels young again. Are the “magic glasses” responsible for his newfound “youth” or is it something a little more tangible than magic?

This story was “dreamed up” with some adorable first graders and uniquely illustrated with 13 gifted and talented 4th graders from Pennsauken, NJ. In addition to being great kids, their enthusiasm to “do and learn” promises to make them awesome adults.
First through 4th graders can enjoy this story on its own, but we’ll bet you a delicious EisenCream cone that they’ll appreciate it even more when it’s read with them by a grandfather or grandmother who cherishes their “kidness.”

The release of this book/app follows the publication and mini tour of S F Hochman’s “laZy, craZy & amaZing: The ZequIllustration.” That story follows the journey of the feisty letter Z. Z is tired... tired of being last. Dr. Letterburger listens and allows Z to appreciate his place in the alphabet and the world. The author challenged elementary school students to enter his illustration contest. The result is an absolutely adorable and highly imaginative book with 15 illustrations for kids BY KIDS.
