Hero Mages is a turn-based tactical strategy fantasy game that combines the fun of role playing games (RPGs) with competitive and cooperative cross-platform multiplayer gameplay. Designed and developed by a single individual driven to share his passion for gaming with the world, Hero Mages also blends the best elements of tabletop miniature and collectible card games.
***GAME PLAY***
Hero Mages is played from a top-down perspective allowing the player full visibility over the battlefield. Each player commands a party of three fantasy heroes, including a powerful mage. Equipped with a set of dice and a hand of cards representing magical spells, players take turns commanding their party of heroes. With the power to unleash the wrath of the elements, summon heinous creatures, and manipulate the world itself, the player's mage is their ultimate hero as they leverage skill, politics, and luck to eliminate their enemies and emerge victorious!

Expansion characters will work in single player once you've logged into your multiplayer account for the first time. The map editor and custom levels can currently only be used in multiplayer.

Its like chess and Talisman (fantasy board game of the 90's). As you master the mages and guardians you can test your mettle against the computer or other players in real-time or asynchronous battles.

This game is truly such an amazing game. It offers a fair bit of challenge that isn't found in other mobile games. Its controls are simple and do not conflict with mobile controls. The characters are interesting in their own way. This is absolutely a must buy.

I love this game. But do not be conned into buying any of the add-ons. I bought one over two years ago and am STILL waiting for it to activate. Other than that this is a brilliant game and one that will keep you entertained for hours! :-)

This game hits a sweet spot between simple and complex. Your party of three fantasy adventurers faces off against a party of similar strength but different composition in a sword and sorcery tactical conflict decided mostly by strategy but with a bit of luck thrown in. The randomly generated player versus computer games offer a couple dozen team combinations, so there is better than average replay value. I haven't gotten around to doing much pvp but will once I thorough clobber the computer.

Gameplay excellent. Support excellent. Community is great but too small, so join in! To those complaining about expansion content.. You're not obliged to buy it. You can fully enjoy the game and compete in the leaderboards using only FREE version and basic heroes. The extra stuff is... Extra. Personally, I bought the paid version and content just to support this excellent developer. Update: doesn't work for me on android 5.0. Have informed Dev, fingers crossed.

Game is exciting and very challenging. From what I have discovered there are no bugs and the admin really strives to make the best gameplay possible. Graphics are great and multiplayer is fun. For the in game purchases for the guy below me...message the developer directly and he will take care of you.

This game has been the best experience on Google Play or anywhere. Cross Platform integration is far better than I have ever seen on any platform. I am just getting started with this game but the free version was enough for me to buy it. It looks like a very entertaining and fun system and I am very excited about giving it a try. I've had this game for a while and I keep coming back to it more so than any other Android game. Simple enough for quick mobile gaming with strategy and tactics to keep every game different. Even so I would still like to see a character development system and a questing adventure framework on top of it. Favorite game on Android.

This game has potential, but it is too slow and random, and either buggy or easy hacked. 2 out of 5 games so far had cheats used. I am assuming if I was winning the other 3 they would have cheated also.

Not only is this the best game of this type that I have ever played, but Ross was absolutely fantastic when I had an issue and he personally made it right that day. This he did in style by going overboard to make sure that I was satisfied. I would recommend this game to anyone! It is fun, well built, and has a great community! Great game that can be played for a quick couple of minutes, or for hours on end. The game also has lots of strategy in it to, and any MTG fans will love it, every duel is different so it has lots of replay value and will sure to be a game you keep for many years :)

Seems cool at first but quickly loses its luster for several reasons. Game gets boring after 20 plays, game glitches sometimes, and the address are way too pricy.
