מהי מודעות פונולוגית?
מודעות פונולוגית היא המודעות לצלילים המרכיבים את המילים בשפה: למשל, צליל פותח (צליל תחילת המילה), צליל סוגר (צליל סוף המילה) והבנה שהמילה מורכבת מצלילים שניתן לפרק ולהרכיב אותם.

מודעות פונולוגית תקינה מקדמת את הישגי התלמידים בקריאה ובכתיבה בכיתה א'.
"מחקרים שבדקו קשר בין מודעות פונולוגית לקריאה מצאו מתאם חיובי גבוה בין מודעות פונולוגית להצלחה במבחני קריאה ולניבוי הצלחה כזו" (בנטין, 1997).
מדוע כדאי לתרגל מודעות פונולוגית בעזרת אפליקציית מָמוּמִי ?

מה באפליקציה?
את האפליקציה מלווה דמות של קטר הנוסע על גבי מסילות רכבת ועובר בתחנות שונות: עונות השנה, חגים, ג'ונגל ועוד. הילדים מסיעים את הקטר לתחנה כרצונם. כאשר הם נכנסים לתחנה עצמה, הם מתרגלים מיומנויות שונות של מודעות פונולוגית. סדר התרגול קבוע בכל תחנה:
*כמה מילים שומעים במשפט?
הקטר משמיע משפט והילד צריך ללחוץ על המספר הנכון, בהתאם למספר המילים במשפט.
*חרוזים:
התאמת זוגות איורים המתחרזים זה עם זה על ידי פעולת גרירה.
*צליל פותח?
התאמת זוגות איורים בעלי צליל פותח זהה / גרירת איור לסל המתאים, בהתאם לצליל הפותח הכתוב עליו.
: *פירוק לצלילים
כמה צלילים שומעים במילה?
הילדים צריכים ללחוץ על המספר המתאים, בהתאם למספר הצלילים במילה. (פירוק לצלילים הוא פירוק לתת-הברות. לדוגמא: ב-לו-ן, ר-כ-ב-ת.)
מיזוג צלילים למילה: *
איזו מילה אתם שומעים?
הילדים שומעים את המילה כאשר היא נאמרת לאט, מפורקת לצלילים. הם צריכים ללחוץ על האיור המתאים למילה שנאמרה..
*צליל סוגר:
התאמת זוגות פריטים בעלי צליל סוגר זהה / גרירת איור לסל המתאים, בהתאם לצליל הסוגר הכתוב עליו.
* קַפֵּד זנבו /ראשו:
תרגול מניפולציה של השמטת הברה ממילה. הילדים צריכים ללחוץ על האיור המתאים למילה החדשה שנוצרה לאחר השמטת ההברה. (תרגול זה נעשה רק בהקשר לחלק מן הנושאים.)

Phonological awareness is the awareness of the sounds that make up words in the language: for example, open sound (the sound of the beginning of the word), sound bracket (note the end of the word) and word structure consists of sounds that can disassemble and assemble them.

Regulatory phonological awareness promotes student achievement in reading and writing in first grade.

What application?
The application is accompanied by an image of a locomotive traveling on railways and passes through various seasons, holidays, jungle and more. Children drive the locomotive to the station as they wish. When they enter the station itself, they practice different skills of phonological awareness. Order a regular practice at each station:
