I installed a Zmodo system and downloaded this app. It works over a Wifi connection. On a tablet you get a much bigger picture than a phone of course, but I have a Galaxy Note 2 which helps a little. The nice thing is that you can double tap each camera shot and enlarge it to a full screen. It runs Real-time video feeds and you can save screen shots with both time and date stamps! If you have PTZ cams, you can operate them through this app too.... Very nice! Thanks

Used this app for over a year now and had minor issues due to week data connections. I had an issue with one of my cameras but that was do to a bad connect to the receiver. Thanks zmodo for help keeping my home safe ;)

Minor issues sometimes where cameras won't reconnect, but for the most part I can view my cameras on my phone remotely. Sometimes it will lock up my phone but it's worth seeing my cameras when I'm not home. Running on Galaxy S4. Upgraded 2 cameras with a different brand that has more if lights but they are compatible with my Zmodo set up. BTW I am using a wired connection NOT wireless

What is the point of this app if it never works? Thank you Zmodo for convincing me to buy a different brand dvr so I can remote view my property. If anyone wants a free Zmodo dvr, it's the p.o.s. version, look me up.

Allows you to see your cameras live, but that's about it. Does not have the capability to allow you to review recorded video using the app. Not a great app, but it does work. Never updated, so don't think perhaps a future revision will allow recorded video to be looked at. There are DVRs with apps out there that allow for playback though. They just cost a little more.

This is the only app that will work on my Phone and Tablet, and like others have mentioned, it rarely works. I've had this working once in the past 2 months. Constantly says reconnecting. All settings are exact and correct. Wish they would fix this or come out with a working app.

I have setup many dvr systems and configured remote access from computers and devices. This app needs an overhaul. My hope is that Zmodo will take their app a bit more serious.

I spent hours trying to get zviewer to work with no success. I installed IP Cam app and was viewing my zmodo dvr cams in less than 5 minutes over my public ip.

Don't see any way to monitor audio with this app. It works with my cheap Zmodo woot impulse buy to view video, but the functionality is severely lacking. I wish tiny cam monitor supported Zmodo because it's a full featured app. If the develo

This worked awesome when we first got the app. Now, we continually receive connection failure messages. This app has become worthless!!! No idea how long ago I wrote this, but I am editing it to say it is still worthless on January 19, 2015!!!

Doesn't work with my new Zmodo system. IP Camera Pro works with no issues. Like the system. Using the 650 TVL cameras. ActiveX in Internet Explorer requires disabling security settings. ActiveX app isn't properly signed. Would prefer a stand alone client for Windows and Linux.

The app keeps on freezing, then my phone won't respond, cause my phone to force restart (Galaxy S7) it's getting annoying. Was even thinking to buy a different brand system. I like the convenience of viewing my cams from my phone, but not with the headache. Zmodo !! PLEASE UP DATE YOUR APP or FIX IT!!!

It does the bare minimum of what you'd expect. When you turn your phone you can get normal aspect ratios instead of distorted and pixelated images. However you can't save photos in that mode so it is pretty useless. How can a company this big put out apps that are so sub-par compared to smaller companies.

App developers won't update app...slow connection, reconnecting, taking too much memory freezing the phone. Do not buy or install this app from zmodo. Spend your money elsewhere for better products and time. ZERO STAR ZMODO!!!!!!!!!

It does get the job done. Im able to view my zmodo cameras. But the app needs alot of work. Ipcam viewer does a better job. On a side note to be fair... the zmodo hardware is pretty decent for the price!

Constantly causes phone to freeze or restart. If I'm lucky, it'll just force close. It works fine on an old T-Mobile G2 and kindle fire hdx, but never worked properly on my S5 or S7.

Super way to view camera's remotely on the earlier versions of Zmodo DVR`s. Have used it for several years on several systems. Most issues that people complain about are ignorance in technology. Should pay someone who understands the technology and limitations.

Make the app to where when it's opened it automatically pulls up the previous set camera channels. The process for choosing and opening the channels is too slow and has too many steps to get all of them open.

I used this app on my iphone 6 and it was working great switched to the samsung galaxy s7 edge and now the app is horrible its always freezing and even causes my phone to freeze. Zmodo please update your app

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. I've owned zmodo cameras for several years now. When running this app the battery drain on any device is absolutely insane. I've tested this with several tablets and Note 3's and Note 4 Edges. It is a shame the camera system itself works great. As stated I've had this app on different devices over the past few years and I dont believe there has ever been an update. Its as if Zmodo contracted out this app to be developed years ago, it was thrown together full of resource management issues, and they dont care and never tried to have it optimized. Update: My Note 4 just took the android 6 update. Now "Zviewer" instantly crashes when trying to open.

This app is a resource hog, constantly locking my Note 3 up waiting for it to respond. With no other game in town, Zmodo users are stuck with this app.

Works perfectly on my galaxy s4..bought new Note5 and just copied my settings to it..works perfectly. For those who can't connect after being able to initially, Google your ip address...it does change from time to time. .. and make sure it's entered correctly. Knocked off 1 star b/c customer service isn't close to what it once was..

Just went from iPhone 5 to Galaxy S6 ,this app works perfect on the iPhone very reliable. Not so with android, camera selection never works unless on wifi, then when it does it constantly refreshes so you just see the spinning wheel. Too bad all cam viewer apps suck on android

For the the Android and the iPhone, feel free to update your phone with the new update. This will avoid deleting any existing devices you have configured in the app. For iPhone users your uninstalling the app first andth then reinstalling from the App Store.

This program is a complete waste of time, i spent several hours testing it on android devices. My firewall i can see traffic, but streaming takes for ever even on faster internet. doesn't always launch. Ease of use is awful, if you are not tech savy stay away from this app.It's funny because i asked zmodo how reliable it was and i guess that is why they never replied back to me.

Well I have two zmodo dvrs but on my Galaxy Note 4 I can only add one channel at the top left of the quadrant. Set up on 2 S5s and it works perfect, please fix this in a update

I have an old system and trying to contact support is hard at times. Most times, I wish you could record remotely. Its a lag when you try to take back to back pictures so recording capability would be nice. It's basic but gets the job done at least.

This ap let's me see my dogs and everything, its like never leaving home.

This app does not work. I get the camera feed for a few seconds upon change of a camera setting on the IE app or on the DVR box, then it goes into endless reconnection. I've played with different camera settings, with no success. It appears to happen only on the cameras i have mounted (thus the camera body is grounded)...i've tried everything...my cameras must be mounted to be useful. So, this app is useless. Please fix. IP cam viewer lite worked...recommend other users attempt that app if this one doesn't work for you.

This app is horrible it doesn't work for crap and its to bad cause if it wouldn't freeze and lag constantly it would be one of the best ones out!! Please please fix I'd even pay if it worked properly! I'm going to keep it and sticking by this app for a little while longer!

It's the DVR that's the issue... Working fine if I Want to access from my computer locally, but you know, the whole reason I needed an app for my phone, was so that I could view my DVR remotely! It JUST WON'T ACCEPT CONNECTION! Inferior quality equipment, I say. Edit: Nearly a year later, finally convinced my isp to change out my modem for one I know for certain properly forwards ports, and guess what still doesn't accept outside connections? The Dvr...

Is it possible to give negative stars? Doesn't work for crap, won't connect and if it does it won't stay connected.

You need to have a static address in order to access from outside your location. For instance, I can access from my home but once I leave I cannot access because the cable provider internet connection isn't static Ip address.

i cant acces my cameras without wifi but i have android and its a new phone so dont see why i caant see my cameras on 4g netwrork i got the sony xperia ? is there a way i can use the app without wifi on my phone ?

After using this app for a while and not being able to get outside access from my network or from my 4G phone I started over my going back to Zmodo website and using support to do network setup After entering all info it shows your local network IP addresses and your outside network IP address To get access from outside or over your 4G phone you have to use your outside address, which is different It now works.

To get app working it took me a while but I figured it out, its working now. I was always getting reconnecting message, figured out my port wasnt opened. As previously stated instructions are not that good lots missing, needs to be written in an idiots guide as the things that are missing only an IT or computer network savy person would figure out. Eitherway its working great on 3g (if that) as thats all we get here in Cayman. They need to open a Forum so we can help each other out. I give the app 5 stars but the instructions maybe 2.5 stars. I also give tech support 3. stars as they couldnt get it working either.
