About Edit Birthday (Beta)

Edit Birthday enables you to edit and remove the birthdates of your contacts. The added or edited birthdates will be instantly visible when viewing your contacts and will be synced.

You will need Edit Birthday only on devices that don't allow you to edit birthdays natively in the contacts app.

In comparison to other apps Edit Birthday uses the original datastore and no 3rd-Party databases that would need extra synchronisation.

You can either open Edit Birthday and then select a contact or you use the stock contacts app and then select "edit contact" and choose "Edit Birthday (Beta)". When you have selected a contacts birthday for editing, you can remove the birthdate, by hitting the menu button and selecting "delete birthday".

This is the beta version of Edit Birthday it has more features than the stable version (which can be found in the market, too). Please contact me, if you have any ideas or problems.

My only issues are that: 1) birthdays is set in American date format rather than allowing me to set it as "dd/mm/yyyy" 2) if I enter edit mode of my contact the birthdays is lost and must be manually re-added. Hopefully future updates will resolve these issues.

For some reason all my birthdays and anniversaries appeared 1 day early. With this app I was able to fix the birthdays but I couldn't fix the anniversaries. I hope he adds this feature in a future update.

Exactly does what it says. Perfect for people like me just keeping their phone in synchronization with their Gmail Account (Google Contacts). After testing a couple of birthday reminder apps to edit the birthday field, this is the only one which does the synchronization with Google Contacts in both directions, reliable and easy. Thanks for that!

It would be nice if birthdays could be saved without the year if one prefers, just the day and month, and also, that birthdays were displayed in/with the contacts details

Can only work with default account though.

Just what I needed ,:)

Having said that, the interface flow isn't all that great, but don't see a better way doing it than this though.

I'm glad someone created this since my 600 dollar phone's Forgot to include such a nice detail

This super-simple app lets me add birthdays to contacts right on my phone; from there they can be synced to Gmail. (Before, I could only edit birthdays in Gmail, because the stock Contacts app in my LG Optimus V only lets you view them, not edit them.)

Why isn't this built into the Android contacts? Thank you for providing it.

Google allows you to enter the birthday *without* the year, in case you do not have that piece of information, but "Edit Birthday (Beta)" cannot cope with such "dates"; it simply barfs. I can send you a screenshot, if you like. Your other app, "Edit Birthday", simply defaults to the current year, which is wrong. Other than that, great work!
