L’Ara com’era - AR Cube

L’Ara Pacis AR CUBE è un’applicazione di Realtà Aumentata che permette di visualizzare il fregio vegetale animato e a colori, inquadrando il cubo anti stress. Per il funzionamento dell’applicazione è necessario dotarsi dell’apposito cubo anti stress in vendita presso il bookshop del Museo dell’ara Pacis di Roma. Inquadrando una delle facce dell’AR CUBE con il proprio smartphone, si attiva la realtà aumentata in cui il fregio vegetale si colora gradualmente. L’animazione è accompagnata da un audio descrittivo, in italiano, inglese, francese, spagnolo, tedesco,con musiche di sottofondo, per aumentare la suggestione dell’intera esperienza.

Il recinto dell’Ara Pacis è posto su un grande basamento marmoreo, quasi interamente di restauro, ed è suddiviso in due registri decorativi: quello inferiore vegetale, quello superiore figurato, con rappresentazione di scene mitiche ai lati dei due ingressi e con un corteo di personaggi sugli altri lati.

Il fregio vegetale, sul registro inferiore del recinto, è composto da girali che partono da un rigoglioso cespo di acanto; dal centro dell'acanto si innalza verticalmente una candeliera vegetale. Dai girali dell'acanto si sviluppano foglie di edera, di alloro, di vite, si dipartono viticci e palmette, e laddove gli steli si assottigliano, avvolgendosi a spirale, sbocciano fiori di ogni varietà. Nella fitta vegetazione trovano ospitalità piccoli animali e venti cigni ad ali spiegate, che scandiscono il ritmo della composizione.”

I contenuti del fregio vegetale, che rappresentano una delle 9 sezioni di cui è composta l’Ara com’era, grazie all’AR CUBE si potranno visualizzare dovunque, anche dopo che è terminata la visita multimediale; l’AR CUBE è uno strumento di conoscenza e condivisione di un’esperienza unica,che si può ripetere all’infinito continuando a visualizzare la meraviglia dei colori del fregio animato.
