TrafficSA has the most current and accurate traffic information for South African roads. The application can show a list of the traffic information by region (ordered by the closest incident if your GPS is enabled) as well as a map of all the traffic problems (based on your location if the GPS is enabled).
You should always check the traffic before starting your trip - once you are stuck in it then it's too late.
Permissions:
The application requires internet access to download the latest traffic information. The application also requires the Photos/Media/Files permissions - this is so that the map and image data can be stored on the device (cached) to reduce the data profile of the app.
The application requires Location permissions to filter traffic information based on your location.

Fairly good. On a recent road trip Google maps diverted us because of a road closure while this app didn't show any information. Now with banner ads added I think it's time to uninstall. "You should always check the traffic before starting your trip - once you are stuck in it then it's too late." LOL, traffic conditions are totally dynamic and can change in a minute.

I had to reinstall this app thrice because it refused to update. Galaxy Note 5. It worked on my Galaxy S4. Think I should just delete it...

First comment: fantastic idea, great support and a good interface too. Flaw: I've noticed that the map does a few weird things when you zoom in that's to the accident/traffic alert icons. It currently thinks the N2 goes through the middle of the school down my road, so I can verify it's a bug. Still very impressed overall! Edit: Latest update seems to have fixed the bug :)

Not happy about the banner ads. I'd rather pay for Pro version without.
