Every time the app updates it required a login. You aren't notified so you won't realise that your driving is not being synced and you could lose you discount. Expect better from such a big company
Much better on the battery now, but still could use some work on the details of how driving can be improved. The vague statements only help so much,
I still after many tries can't still get pass the login screen. Tried all methods. Not happy with this app. Can't manage my account at this moment.
The range of possible vehicles on a given brand name is limited to only a selected few models.... Renault does not have the Kadjar..or ...Laguna... Please update all models on all vehicles brands.

I can't even sync the app and I've just downloaded it. Very disappointing
During the previous version you could update details like your vehicle registration number etc. Why did that disappear
App is not working. Drove for more than a month, location and network was on all the time but progress stayed 0%. It is not worth the hassle and battery drainage. Uninstalled and deregistered.
App does not work. More than a month driving and still on 8% with driving 80km a day. Uninstall it a few times and still not working as advertised.
The outsurance and outvest apps do not work on Galaxy S7. Pointless. Hangs on login, registration, basically looking at it. No stars necessary.
This app is not accurate, I had 100% on driving style, still maintained my driving pattern....now its 69% why?????
I have received a 5% discount with Smart Drive but recently the app says I can forfeit this due to infrequent syncing in the last 14 days. My location is always on so not sure why syncing is not happening. This could be a bug that needs to be fixed.
I often drive with a friend with a sporty Volvo. It is always fast excelleration and hard braking. Seldom in the speed limits. How will it influence my grading.
Seems interesting. I can't however link the vehicle that I most frequently drive to my smartdrive profile (eventhough it is shoeing on my insurance profile). Any assistence would be appreciated.

This app is stupid. It register me as traveling when I am getting a lift with someone and even when I go for a run it seems to use my movement to penalise me on the amount I travel. Needs a lot of work. After trying very hard to keep to everything they say I must in the end it says I get 10% discount Not impressed.
App is really good at hanging and lagging when opening. Runs in the background unnecessarily even after I've stopped driving for over 6 hours
Half the time it crashes when I try to open smartdrive. Smartdrive almost never updates
Smartdrive feature is flawed as I am penelized when I Uber and because I use my phone for gps.
It rejects my password every time even though I supply 8 characters..one uppercase..and a number
App is not functioning as intended. Does not sync on my Samsung, but on my wife's iPhone when we are both in the car. Couple of times that both phones did sync, it worked out vastly different scores. Started off with 10% discount, then suddenly dropped it to 5% just before premium was supposed to reduce. I have no means to check why I suddenly receive reduced scores when I drive the same route on the same time every day. Just a frustration to use it.
Doesn't work I've driven more than 1000kms but I still don't have a score..everyday it jus shows 66% of the way towards getting a score. Make the app work b4 u release it..whts the point of having a product tht doesn't work!!!! It shows synced but it's not possible..ill give it another week then I'm deregistering!!!
I use my Google maps while I drive all the time. The phone sits in its holder in the window while I drive. Yet the app picks up that I'm using my phone while driving. You need to find a way to pick up that its GPS, and not me texting and driving.
It's much better now. No more automatically logging out once closed. It's not an app one would use on the daily but it is handy.
It just doesn't work and have been unable to resolve. Count me OUT.
Last synced date is 12 Sept 2017 and my score remain on 83%. My phones location is always on and I keep the app up to date. Doesnt look like the app is working anymore.
Keeps rejecting otp
This app does not have an option of selecting Eg a Vehicle, passenger, public transport etc. I drive to work with my own vehicle and then use a company vehicle, rental vehicle or sometimes a passenger. This app assumes I am the regular driver and l am busy on my phone while being a passenger or using an Uber or shuttle. These inaccurates are used to calculate my premiums.
Smartdrive does not work. I have registered numerous times and even uninstalled and reinstalled and still the functionality does not work
My score was perfect.....but when I'm a passenger.....so my scores went down and percentage discount dropped.......so now???
I can't log in at all it just keeps telling me something went wrong on our system
Love, love, love this app. I have saved 5% on my car insurance and about to save another 5% in December. Doesn't sound like much, but putting it over to Rand value, totally worth it. I have tried the call me option, 10min later an advisor phoned me. Awesome, thank you
Registered and logged in, yet there is an email address displayed which is not mine and no one can resolve it. Kind of pointless then....
Ran the new update.. the smart drive app still just gives me errors. It worked once, telling me I was at 30% of my first score. I just keep getting the same error message that my score cannot be loaded. I have done 400kms since signing up for smart drive and still nothing... Big promises from outsurance and no returns.
Traveled over 150km but no score is reflecting in the smartdrive section. No use using the app if it doesn't work :(

Thanks but there was nothing wrong with my signal. I cancelled my account due to a hike on my premuim just because I don't have my license longer than 3 years and what it cost to be honest they almost tripled my premuim. So thanks outsurance but no thanks. I wouldn't even waste my time to refer customers to you
