Update 10/4/2017 It is now 2 years later and none of the UX issues have been addressed. This app is extremely frustrating to use and makes me angry entry time I use it. How can an app have 3 different back buttons on the same screen? Hitting the Android back button then takes you right out of banking arrrrgghhhh. Completely violates the Android design guidelines. By comparison, Standard Bank's app was an absolute pleasure to use. That was 3 years ago, till I switched. Extremely disappointed with this as it's my primary way of interacting with Nedbank daily. As someone in the software development industry, it's very upsetting to see the frustration you are subjecting your customers to and getting away with. Who knows how many customers you have lost due to this app, or don't even bother to use it... This app is functional, but is plain awful in terms of usability. Here's some examples: 1. Pin-entry gave me msg about filling in all fields, when I was merely entering the wrong password. 2. Unnecessary loading when going back and forth through the menus. 3. Back button behaviour is misleading and confusing. There is a back arrow, a back button on top right that sometimes appears, and phone back button. No idea what to expect. None of them took me to the previous screen, just back to menu. 4. Tiny buttons
It's functional but only barely. The whole app design and usability is utterly dreadful. It's like absolutely no thought is put into make the user experience fluid. Just of a few of the issues: * The use of embedded web views is criminal * No use of native Android ui or controls * Back button doesn't go back but takes you completely out of the banking * The ui is hideous * Doing page loads for every drop down infuriating and completely breaks the flow * Viewing your balances only shows the transaction amount NOT your balance. Epic fail * The menu organization is nonsensical E.g you have to goto enquires to view your balances. Honestly I think the developers should be forced to bank with Nedbank and use this app... They will very quickly realize how much improvement it requires. Please hire a UX designer and use the native Android SDK.
Haven't been able to transfer money from my investment to My cheque acc. Very inconvenient .
This app has a security vulnerability that renders it unsafe to use! Nedbank are you aware of this?
Standard Bank & Capitec Bank apps are much easier to use, especially if all you need is to know your balances, and do simple things. Less is more. Nedbank app is so cluttered.
I had this app in the beginning when app came out. then had problems few months ago where error reads time our or no connection. I deleted the app and re installed the app 3 days . I still have same error. I guess all you will come back and say is ure technicians are working on it ... this is frustrating.
It's not user friendly I can't do once off payments with out a struggle I ended up loading the payment to my beneficiaries list just to pay someone yoh it's a struggle
The most poorly designed banking app I have used so far, since reinstalled it every time I try to activate the app it always return the error and it not user friendly at all.
I cant find the option to buy telkom data bundles. The option available is for 8ta which also doesnt give any options for buying data. FNB app is way much better and easier to use.
They say that the app can be used without data, unfortunately I have not been able to get through without the data. I have contacted the call center about it, they couldn't help they just said I should update the app which didn't help.
This app is not user friendly at all. To navigate this app you need training. It can not display the basic of every banking app. A statement lol. Nedbank you ages away from other app. Do some thing about pls
This app is useless. You enter your profile number, your pin, password still u won't log in. It's really useless but when u log in on website it's just as easy as 123. So this app is useless, really useless mxm
Please take a look at the FNB app. It's secure and so user friendly. You can navigate from transfers back to viewing your accounts with ease. Setting up beneficiaries& paying electricity shouldn't be an arduous task. Tried buying prepaid electricity and i I literally gave up because it was too difficult. With so many options available it would suit Nedbank better if their online banking&app suites were more user friendly.Please look into setting up beneficiaries, transaction &transfer histories,statements
Well I suppose my expectation was to high the enroll process is lengthy maybe I am just accustomed to fast and quick and easy banking since I am from the United Kingdom. Nedbank take a look at my Royal Bank of Scotland app to give you ideas on simple easy and fast app banking try also where you can use android pay or apple pay connected to your contactless debit card
Recently the app has been giving me this message "Your application is offline. Functionality may be limited.", every time I try to use it. I have tried while my mobile data is on as well as different wifi hotspots as well as home and nothing changes. All other apps which require Internet are working just fine. Please assist.
For the last two days I have not been able to access any of the app features. It loads forever and then tells me the app is offline. I've tried updating it and I do have data. Please fix!!
Like serious dose everything have to be extremely hard. I can't log in this app it keeps on saying my profile number and my pin or password don't match like seriously so I'm forced to visit atms and shops even on my lunch time if you have a solution please help
I have been struggling to access apps lately be it on WiFi or mobile data. When I try to log on the app keeps loading. Please help as this is causing a huge inconvenience. Another thing, I am sure the developers have received enough messages about how un-user friendly the app is. We are asking for something that can be done.. I have used Fnb, Standard and Capitec and they are a pleasure. I like Nedbank just need this area to be improved.
When it asks me to enter my profile pin and password I do so correctly and it says please enter valid banking details. Since I enter the profile number and pin provided by the bank I can not see how the hell this doesn't work. POOR APP!!!! No wonder the low rating
Im using it cause i hate banks but this app is useless. Its flippen slow.i changed networks and phones but this app is a no no. I hate waiting and the app is there to bank anywhere. Just work faster on this, the other banks are more quicker on their apps
The app only allows viewing of the last 20 transactions. Crazy! Should allow me at least 6 months. Overall very weak capability but that is possibly the worst aspect.
My God this App is AWFUL. The developers of this App really need to keep up with technology, use Standard Banks App as an example. It's so easy to use, does not take 10 years to load and has all information you need. I recently joined Nedbank, the App has not way to see your banking details. I really hope you guys are working on an improved version soon as I used the Standard Bank App errr day!!!
I cannot get past the terms & conditions page. The app simply does not respond to any on screen touches, so I can't scroll down to the bottom of the T&C's or tap Accept to move forward. I have re-installed the app and restarted my phone a few times with no change over the past 2 weeks. This is really annoying and disappointing. Please can you guys fix this issue, as it renders the app completely useless until then.
Hi. I am trying to log in but the whole screen freezes. Not happy about this when I have urgent transfers to do. Please urgently address as we pay big bucks every month for your services.
The app always worked fine but now it keeps suddenly closing while I'm in the middle of a transaction. So so annoying! I haven't been able to do a mobile banking transaction in ages. I've checked for updates and also uninstalled then reinstalled. Nothing works. Super super disappointing.
App doesn't work anymore. I've been using this app for a good couple if years, but it has now stopped working. I get an error message every time I try to log in. And I have updated the app on my phone, so I'm using the latest version.
This app is useless including nedbank internet banking site. I have a positive balance but it doesn't reflect on the the app or banking site. Now I can't even make transfers. FNB is way ahead when it comes to electronic banking. Nedbank is just too old. No improvement. Purely disappointing.
This app needs a complete overhaul. A banking app should be intuitive and be efficient as possible. This app is very cumbersome and bundled with unnecessary functions. Buying airtime is a mission. Navigation is stone age like. Keeps logging you off when you press the back button
This app is frustrating and useless. Can't get past the T's & C's. No more quickly checking balances or transferring money when I'm not near a PC. Really really annoying. I uninstalled and re-installed the app a couple of times but it keeps doing the same.
It is not User-friendly. I can't activate the app.I lost count on how many times I went to your diferent branches to activate it but still nothing!
The application needs to be more user friendly. 1) proof of payment via whatsapp 2) back button kills the whole session 3) Android Pay? 4) biometric login 5) account balance sneak preview 6) unable to load two accounts on one phone 7) no international transfers 8) no drop down selection, I need to search per page for beneficiaries and it loads a view every time 9) the statement view flow does not make sense 10) the Internet banking / app layout have not been modernised/updated in a long, long time
Frustrating to log in. Every month I get stuck on the home screen. On lucky moments I can access my bank account. Not happy! Please fix the app!
It works 80% percent of the time but it really feels it was a short term solution. Maybe you guys are still planning on the faster, much easier banking app. Its really no different from the sms banking, select option wait, select next option wait, select.... CANT BUY ELECTRICITY
Can't load more than one profile on my device. I need to have my personal and my business banking on my phone. Very user-unfriendly
Lately I've noticed that even though there is network, at the worst of times, the functionality of this app is either limited or not working. Very frustrating when having to make quick payments.
Stupid stupid app first it tells yoh to log on to internet to activate once you done both it still tells you error occured while performing enrolment action. And please dont tell me to download again as I have done it three times. And have restarted devices. You at fault rather dont do apps leave it to other banks whos stuff are working.Please do not download its not working. Nedbank remember what happen to symbian and andriod if you dont catch up with this century you will loose clients
This app is forever frozen and doesnt work! Never in my life have i come across such a useless app! Definitely changing banks!
This app does work. I have entered the right log on information buy it continues to highlight that my details are invalid. Poor.
This is the worst banking app in history. Recently opened an acc with nedbank ,could not draw money at the nedbank ATM had to do it via ABSA ATM. Downloaded app for online banking worked for only 2 days...had to download it again but did want to accept my password....Customer care also extremely useless....Really thought I was making the right choice, Boy was I wrong.

The app needs alot of details before actually doing what you want it to do. Can you please make it simple most of my friends find it hard to use unlike the other banks
