Drive

Drive provides location based services to all South African drivers. Using the GPS on your smartphone, we show you the closest toll gate (including distance from you and Toll Rates particular to you) as well as the closest 5 fuel stations (of the 4 800 we currently maintain)

As part of this version, we include 4 800 fuel stations, 3 800 safety camera POI's and road hazard points.

Drive is aimed at South African drivers who often use our national road system. It shows the nearest Toll Gates, as well as the nearest rest stops, safety camera locations and road hazards. Drive displays the distance to the nearest toll gate, computes the travel time (based on your current speed) and shows the cost of that toll gate.

Drive was developed from a need to understand there the next toll gate is. The idea came from our long distance driving in pursuit of the great South African outdoors as well as our camping activities. We would often drive up to a toll gate and not know what the amount payable was, so we built this application. We also added fuel and rest stops along the way to let our kids know when the next stop was.
