About DroidToReader

This application makes use of SendToReader's API. DroidToReader requires that you have a SendToReader account (create one at http://www.sendtoreader.com).

With DroidToReader you can send any web page to your Amazon Kindle instantly. These pages are formatted properly to remove unnecessary content while leaving the important stuff intact.

Send long articles or articles that you want to read later to your reader, where you can comfortably read them on a screen that won't strain your eyes.

After installing, launch the app and enter your SendToReader username and password. You can check that they're correct by tapping the "Test credentials" menu option. To send pages, just tap on "DroidToReader" in your browser's "Share" menu.

Works like a charm!

It might work just fine, but the description should say that the account that must be set up is free for only a limited time.

I give it a zero . what a waste of time

The app worked great when I just downloaded it. But a couple of weeks later it stopped and now gives me "invalid username / password" error. I can log in at the site with these credentials just fine. Will definitely be a 5star app once this is fixed.

UPDATE: SendtoReader updated and free accounts have been ended. This app still works but you need a paid subscription to SendtoReader to take advantage. /// When this works it is fantastic. I love how easy it is to send almost anything from my phone to a kindle. My only issue is that sometimes I get error messages that say I should contact the developer ... And what I am trying to send won't work.

Loved this app. But it stopped working now with Invalid user name/password message.

Having the same problem as everyone else. It doesn't work

S70%

title is my only question. https, 406 error, no http, 427, no place to enter kindle info...

Invalid Credentials Fix 1) If Test credentials does not work after putting in your username/password, deselect Force HTTPS sending. 2) If sharing a page does not work, check to see if you properly set up SendToReader. Specifically, dos S2R have your Kindle address? Also, is S2R on your Kindle whitelist? After making those adjustments, S2R worked for me. Good job for an app that hasn't been updated since 2012 Q1!

What the hell is error 406

S70%

Test works fine, but it is impossible to send anything...

Didn't work from the get-go, received an error and "contact the developer" message. I don't want the hassle and delay. Send to Reader is a good service, but this app (apparently from a different developer) fails.

It was used to work fine and Im happy to used it for a couple of weeks, until it suddenly refuse to work wih error 406 on it. I've tried it on both my Galaxy nexus and Galaxy Tab 7+ with no luck. What do I do wrong here?

I wish I could use this app to send articles to more than one Kindle. My kids have one for homeschool. Sometimes I like to send articles from the Internet to read, but they must read them on my Kindle. Change that and I will rate it a 5!

This is the #1 send-to-Kindle app for two reasons: 1) It works, and 2) It's the only one that allows you to directly send to Kindle INCLUDING images without first adding to another service (eg Readability) and then having to send it to your Kindle if you want it transferred immediately. Images aren't always pictures: charts and tables are often more important than the text itself, which makes DroidToReader far superior to Send To Kindle.

Terrific app, works as advertised and seems to be quicker than other services such as Readability

But the ads at the end of all pushed articles are so many and ugly. Uninstalled and bought Push To Kindle for a one time flat fee (for now) which is cleaner.

It Works. Just that puts this app head and shoulders above the competition. Works great. Easy to set up and use. A must-have if you want to send stuff to your Kindle.

I have tried a few apps and services for sending web pages to the Kindle. This one includes the images which is important to the content I read, and it appears to get the formatting correct more often than others. ps I had to uncheck the https option in the app

Used 52MB since installing about 30 minutes ago. Here's the thing, I never opened the app so what data are they using?! The only reason I noticed was that I was checking my data use for another app. Disappointing and obviously uninstalled
