Material Terminal for Android
I kinda love designed apps. Yes, Terminal apps are supposedly ugly. But this awesome app made a nice interface even for Terminal. Now I use the Terminal, more than ever, because its much more neat & clean. Keep up the good work, dev!
You should really have a quick check for busybox or even just if a path is set that has more than ls, cat, and echo. If I wss new to Linux or command-line in general, I'd be scared I broke something. Perhaps a check to see if busybox, toybox, and toolbox are in the current path and offer to have a script find them for the user if not. I guess it's OSS and I'm free to get to it myself, but feel free to get to it first unless it's kinda a built in safety measure so people gotta know what they're doing first :)
How am I supposed to use a terminal without arrow keys, autocomplete, or the ability to copy/paste? There are shortcuts that involve using the volume keys, but even those don't seem to work.
Very usable, only annoying thing is that pressing Vol Down + c should stop any running command just like terminal in Ubuntu, but it doesn't. let's say to stop ping command, it couldn't make it stop. Please help.
Terminal functions as it should and looks sharp. Be sure to install a soft keyboard appropriate for terminal use (hacker's keyboard is a decent terminal friendly one)... Worth mentioning after seeing a lot of negative reviews blaming the app for the end-user not having a good keyboard installed.
At least on Google Keyboard the special keys for terminal doesn't work... I hope they or you can fix it. Nice design too, loved it.
This App works as smoothly as if I was on any of my Linux boxes. I put the path to /system/xbin first into the PATH environment using the preferences settings in this App for execution at startup and have no problems executing any of the commands I want to. Love the favorite commands and history features of this App. It's the only terminal App that I use anymore on all of my Droid devices.
Until it started force closing immediately upon startup of the app. Cleared cache/dalvik, fixed permissions, uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled, and no dice. Awesome when it functions though.
Good terminal emulator, but it have some problems with my native keyboard. The input type is not defined I think. This cause the keyboard to be in last state. When the keyboard is in search mode (magnifying glass on return key) you can't execute commands.
Great! I love that you have make the amazing terminal into material design! Also, just a tip for anyone with root , if you want to use sudo or superuser commands, search sudo installer in the play store there is an app that installs sudo in your phone.
Nice theme. Works exactly as the normal (uglier) term
The Volume Up/Down does not work at all on my Samsung Galaxy S7 if I use Google Pinyin input keyboard. Garbage!
It looks powerful, beyond my skill level. Glad I can navigate through folders like on my Ubuntu machine.
This is an exellent minimal app that does exactly what its supposed to do... No complaints at all ... Far more superior to others
The app is wonderful to us but I couldn't find a list of commands I think it needs a large area or pages where all of the commands can be found with how each command works
Vol down/up don't work on my nex6p andr7
OMG BEST TERMINAL EMULATOR EVER ive tried every single one and this one is by far the best! I have no words. Great job to the devs ^-^
Logcat is still buggy. Having trouble to close terminal after use.
This is a joke app. I don't even know where enter is
familiar xterm-like environment. easy to use on my galaxy tab pro
Special keys don't work on my Nexus 6P
Either they need to update the documentation or the control key is no longer working. Running Nexus 5 on marshmallow
S7 go button doesn't work
It doesn't find or see systemless root.it just sits and then goes back to the regular terminal
This is really perfect!! One thing I don't like, please change/tweak notification icon which looks really small and off, compared to other icons.
But if there are more updates coming I'm sure it would stand out more. I've also ran into a few bugs... so hopefully they work on it a bit. Feels like a direct copy of your standard Terminal app, same buttons and all. Just has"Material" in the title.
Keyboard input at cmd line works %20 of trying (@best, more like 1 in 12)... W h u t dafuq will be uninstalling immediately.
after i changed my theme with a font-it's not a monospaced font, the cursor displayed in wrong place, i think this terminal should have its own fonts.
All features of Terminal Emulator plus custom window, terminal background, and terminal font colors. Now I can unleash my inner Linux nerd AND geek at the same time!
I was looking for such a seamless, effective, android terminal, then I came across this, simply best, the use of material design, and history features is also great, I will for sure contribute to this open source project! Thanks guys, cheers!!
U ppl need to minify the code with proguard because this app doesn't run on some samsung 4.4.2 systems and a CassNotFoundException is caused. Its because some MenuBuilder library is missing from these systems.
Typing in landscape mode seems bugged. I don't see the input area, only the keyboard and can't type
I cannot seem to send Control+C to the terminal. Neither Vol Up, nor Vol Down would would do that.
Can't even unmount a memory stick. Not found.
Similar features to other terminal emulators, but with a sweet theme.
Soo much better than the terminal app that came with my Google ROM! Google pay attention to this app.
Asks you to rate it to many times one ★ forever
It's works just the way I wan't it thanks to the developer you are wonderful......
Does it job as it was mentioned to.

I am semi fluent in Linux command line so that is not my problem, I am trying to run a shell script that needs to be run without having to keep the app directly open. When I switch tab for even a second it says "Killed", and I haven't seen any options to avoid that. Anyone know how to fix this?
