It doesn't work. It keeps in redirecting me to the actual Messenger app. But you tried to bring back the old Facebook chat and it works for the other people who downloaded it so this deserves 5 stars. I hope Zuckerberg brings the old chat back ;-; I don't hate Messenger but come on, make Facebook great again lmao

couldn't even open it! just had a message from the phone itself saying to download facebooks legacy app... um if I wanted to do that, I wouldn't be looking for alternatives! moto g 3rd gen running android 6

Since I really liked this alternate app, I've decided to use it again on my new phone. Changed my phone into Motorola Nexus 6, but it keeps opening up the fb app instead of the mssngr app.

I love this! this is Great! i already hate the newest version of messenger because it's not letting.me download it. But, with this app, it's fast and worked right away. No hassle! Hope you continue in improving the features of this app. Looking forward for cooler version of this! ;)

I've been trying to view my messages on the old messenger app, and it keeps taking me to the next screen to install the new messenger app! Whatever you do, don't waste your time downloading this app!

I was hoping this was a better way to message from my phone without having to use the actual messenger, but I was wrong. When I try to open it it just takes me to Google store to download the real messenger app! Stupid.

What kind of mess is this! I downloaded it and it sent me to the Messenger app to download that. Pretty slick! I just uninstalled Messenger because it keeps glitching! UNINSTALLING THIS NOW!

Not exactly aesome, but serves its purpose. It'll work , I reckon. Best i can do ob this old ass SideKick. Thanks so much. Facebook fks.

Pointless & useless. Why even bother if it just prompts you to download the actual FB Messenger app?? What is the point? Please reply if I am missing something...

This requires other apps to work. Not stand alone

I downloaded both this MSSNGR and Facebook apps just the other day and both worked great. But now, when I try to open MSSNGR or even click on Facebook messages, I get a prompt to install Messenger (Facebook's version). I can't open this one anymore.

I dont know about positive reviews but im on the negative side! As soon as i press the icon, it takes me to playstore prompting me to download messenger app. (Running cm13 on gti9505)

What the heck is legacy chat and why does it require facebook, that doesn't work on my phone, to operate?

I just to love it, but few days ago stopped working. Then I click on this app it opens fakebooks messenger install page.. Maybe its only me.

I love this app after I updated Facebook messenger it stopped working for me and after downloading this app I can finally check and write messages again.

Makes you install Facebook messenger just to install this messenger? Then makes phone go crazy and won't uninstall until you reboot.

I don't want to send a message to be able to view my new message. Very displeased with this app.

I honestly thought it was the old messanger its a lie dont waste your time it will take you straight to the new one where you need to install as soon as you open this app

When i open the app, it is routed to "get app" of the new messenger. I was expecting it would work, but i guess not. Im in Philippines

I'd tried to adjust it aeveral times but in-vain

we want to view the message without saying 'hi' to the friend..its not comfortable...if our frnd moves out for some time and again he send message after some minutes then again we have to send 'hi' to view his message...plz fix dis problem otherwise my friends think that i am foolish as always say hi after some time...i hope u understand my problem

I don't get it. No different from just using Facebook app. Either way, I cannot download images sent to me. Using facebook's stand alone Messenger, I can.

It would be Of Aid if You allowed me to view Messages. If That is In Your ability to adjust, Please do so.

To bad you can't view existing messages, hopefully once Android M is fully out we will be able to selectively give Facebook messenger (and the main app) permission to exist on our devices

I would say By Installing this I am disappointed by Facebook. This tiny app Work better then messenger. Thank you Developer for doing such a wonder full job.

I love this because it disentangle even use 1 Mb and it puts messenger to a shame love it!
