NoAdsPlease is an app you can use on your rooted android device to block ads and potentially dangerous websites.
Using what's called a "hosts" file, NoAdsPlease prevents connections to a list of potentially dangerous sites without any load on your phone!
This app requires an internet connection to download updates. Update downloads are less than 2MB. Please be aware that if you are using cellular data, NoAdsPlease will still download updates.
How NoAdsPlease uses the permissions it asks for:
Internet: Check for and download updates
Network State: Check if your device is connected to the internet
Write/Read Storage: Read/save settings and store updates
Root: Install an updated hosts file or revert to your original one

This app work on my devices, thx a lot.... it turns out this is a solution countermeasures ads that dont know the permissions.

DO NOT INSTALL. Hijacks existing adds and replaces them with its own. Reverting didn't work so I'll have to deal with the aftermath now.
