Pulse SMS (Phone/Tablet/Web) for Android
Tried many (4) other apps to sync laptop and mobile device. Pulse is the only one that works as advertised. Paying for the 90 day subscription (based on experience with other apps that was about how long they worked before becoming non-functional or too cumbersome to use). Ready and willing to convert to permanent subscription.
Mostly great. It's hard to distinguish between read and unread messages using the always black base theme, font size normal. I can see the colored dot, but the title isn't bold. I'm used to seeing a different color of highlight for unread messages. Developer is very responsive.
Loving this app, just wish it had swipe to go back. Even though there's a pull out menu on the left, swiping to the left from the middle to go back is really the only thing keeping me from giving this a 5/5. (even just as an option in settings)
I love this app, but my notifications don't pop up for this app. I never know when I get a message. It's really frustrating. I always have to go into the app to see if someone sent me a message. Other than that, I really really really like this app, I even paid for the lifetime subscription.
Okay. I'm having issues with this app. I can't seem to get the notification tone working. It doesn't ring, it doesn't vibrate. It's just there. I've tried every goddamned thing I know about phones, but the notification is still not responding. I even had to reboot my phone. Please, give me a solution. I love this app very much and I wouldn't want to uninstall just because of Notification issues.
So far this is the best SMS App I've tried especially since I'm coming off my iPhone so this is the closed thing I can get to iMessage. However the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't give us the option the change the color of the "outgoing" chat bubble because I often find myself thinking the "incoming" messages are my own due to the color of that chat bubble. I really hope this is fixed in a future update. Other than this it's a great app.
First thing: 'cannot sign up on this device. You must have a primary device with a phone number.' I DO NOT HAVE A FREAKIN PHONE WHY DO YOU EXPECT ME TO USE THIS
Competent app with malfunctions that break it's capabilities. MMS is entirely non-functional to send or receive. It's subscription based, but not worth anything if the program is only half functional. Customization is great, app UI is intuitive. At 100% this app would be worth the yearly fee, until then, pass.
Unreliable. Messages suddenly won't send from tablet, and trying to log out and log back in created a mess.
Decent for a great price. Use it for texting in my MacBook. I still prefer messages + but this is a solid compromise as texting from my computer's is crucial to my job. Still in development as well
Lately the ringtone notification is cut short when phone screen is off. It seems fine when notification options tested in settings. Was fine before. All in all good app.
Wow... the SMS app that (I think) has everything I need that I had never heard of before. I stumbled across this in the Play Store, and right off the bat the cross platform support is what drew me in. Sure, there are other cross platform SMS web based SMS solutions, but when I saw that it has a native Linux client, that was it. Hardly anybody has native Linux versions of their apps, so I was amazed to see that this did. Ubuntu is my daily OS, so I definitely plan on installing that soon. I was also very happy to see that it supports heads up notifications, waking the screen, and custom vibrations. All of these are features that are very important to me. Another jaw dropping experience here was that it allows me to send MMS picture messages over WiFi Calling! I use Tracfone and was told by them that I had to have a cellular connection to send MMS messages, and my stock Samsung Messages app did indeed give an error whenever I tried to send MMS messages over WiFi. However, someway somehow, I'm able to send and receive MMS messages over WiFi with this! I don't see this as an advertised feature, but whatever you're doing to enable this, please don't change it! :D I've only had this a short time, and I might come across some things that I don't like, but right now I definitely plan on making this my default SMS app and buying a lifetime account. Thanks for this great app and keep up the good work!
This app is a great alternative to the Stock Android Message App. The improvements are small but they add huge value when using it as default messaging app. Use it and you will know for sure. It doesn't switch your social messaging app, just stock android app.
Wish I could get an alarm on my laptop. At times the text input line is hard to get to without opening the window. Overall it is a very reasonably priced application that allows me to use my laptop without having to reach for my phone to view and reply to text messages. Well done.
After using it I found this app easy to use and the devs very prompt and helpful when I needed. It's definitely the best messaging app in the play store. It's my go to app and I highly recommend it to everyone.
I switched from iPhone and needed a iMessage replacement this did it! Only issue I have is I'm unable to send gifs through the Google keyboard.
It took a lot of convincing for me to leave textra, but I'm honestly extremely happy with this App! The ability to message from any device makes it so much better!
It's a good one but not the best. Options are limited but I like it. Better than the one that comes with phone
The amount of good quality updates and excellent functionality make thid the very best sms app.
5 stars, enjoyed the app more than Textra. Notification drop down and action support. Good customization and clean design A+
Swapped from Textra to this after issues with their privacy statements
It is by far the best android messaging app Iv've tried. The notification action feature is what i love most about it, and the interface is simle and beautiful
Was looking for a messaging app that had scheduled texts and this delivered. Love the other extras I was able to change as well despite not specifically looking for an app with that.
This app is amazing! Hands down my favorite text app. Easy to use and customize for my every day needs
Its pretty good, especially if you have an Android watch with wear installed. Integrated features included.
Just the app I was looking for. Everyone wants iMessage, we there it is for Android. Good price for fantastic service. Thanks.
Awesome app been using it paid for a while now and it doesn't exactly what it's supposed to do!
Very nice, functional and elegant. Any chance of voice recognition for composing messages?
So far a great app, but the developer is top notch and provides great service.
Great SMS app, the best I have ever used.
Great so to allow managing messages across all platforms
Does everything I need it to and looks good.
It works.
Love the sync. Undo send is a real lifesaver.
Really great dependable app. Does what it says.
Great Alternative and a blazing fast one
Awesome!!
Needs more customization options. Other than those already available, it should be possible to set specific colors (not just from a palette) and set custom fonts/sizes. ------- Edit: Thank you for the speedy response. The reason I want (specifically) the ability to set custom colors is because the shades I want aren't in the base palettes. Perhaps there could be a tab above the color picker where the user could choose between palette-mode and hex-mode, so as not to hamper user experience? Thanks again. On a side note, would it be possible to show just the contacts' nicknames just on the conversation title bar? The full names are too long that all I see is just a part of the first name plus an ellipsis.
Would of been perfect but the LED color doesn't work in the sense that when I choose red, it turns up to be white... Also, I'd like more customization overall such as how timestamps are shown and the icon of the notification, being able to change it to something other then green and such... Other then that, great app! But these were deal breakers for me so went back to Textra

Ditched my iPhone three weeks ago (the ios11 battery murder was the final straw!) so am an Android newbie. Been using Pulse SMS extensively as a replacement for iMessage. Great app, so easy to use and fully compatible on my home Mac. Looking forward to their iPad app!
