What are users saying about The Wall Street Journal: News

This App is poorly implemented. You log into the App with your WSJ credentials to read articles, but a good majority of thee articles actually open up in a web browser within the App, which isn't authenticated. So you can't read the article until you log in again. It is very cumbersome and annoying to be constantly logging back in.

The latest version ignores both the data usage settings and the notification settings. As result I'm getting story notifications and application is using data when I don't want it to. I've been forced to block both completely via Android's application settings. We will see if that works. I'm willing to deal with mistakes like this for most products from small developers. But in the US a WSJ subscription is almost $400 annually. For those costs this is absolutely unacceptable.

by P####:

Great newspaper app for subscribers. One irritating bug. Specific versions stop working when I move between time zones. I have to switch from USA to Europe, then to Asia. Eventually none of them work and I have to uninstall and reinstall. But otherwise good.

M70%
by M####:

App is OK, but their trial subscription model is super lame. You cannot turn off auto renewal without cancelling immediately.

J70%
by J####:

Well facing a stupid issue for some days , where even though the internet is available the app still says you are offline . This is kind of bad design and not doing me any service for the amount I'm paying to have this device made available to me

N70%
by N####:

Pretty useless. Most photos/graphics don't load. Content unavailable when not connected to WiFi, so forget reading the WSJ while on the road...

N70%
by N####:

I just saw an ad on this app. If I'm paying $39 dollars a month, I never want to see an ad. Will uninstall and end my subscription if this persists.

I70%
by I####:

This version has links broken. When I read an article and click on links, the app claims my internet connection is broken though it is not. Clicking REFRESH is useless.

N70%
by N####:

Great app, but the website constantly asks me to Re-login... very annoying

N70%
by N####:

One of the best news apps. Even just in terms of usability I think WSJ has one of the best user interfaces for the major newspapers' apps. The recommended stories are very apt, stylistically it's very easy to read. For those without a subscription, WSJ is definitely one of the best papers in the country. Definitely an increasingly small group. My second favorite after Washington Post.

C70%
by C####:

It just stopped updating the feed and can't load new news stories

E70%
by E####:

Great app, easy to use. Love I can backtrack on stories to article that began series on certain topic.

N70%
by N####:

I would highly recommend this, if it didn't keep trying to get me to subscribe when I'm already a subscriber. I've logged in a thousand times and it still locks out some of the stories as it says they are for paying subscribers only... but I am one. Grrrr

N70%
by N####:

Easy to use app with great content. I'd rate it a 5 if it weren't for the fact that the editorial staff was absolutely insane, which is readily conceded by WSJ journalists.

V70%
by V####:

Please have a look at issues with opening pictures, currently they just display a black screen. Problem has existed a long time. Using LG V20. Thank you

V70%
by V####:

Most of the articles are fairly predictable. I used to read the WSJ back in the 90s. It had stories and views not seen in other papers. Now it's the same old same old with a predictable editorial tilt.

N70%
by N####:

App is trash this media outlet is just ratings and libtard agenda carp factory.

O70%
by O####:

Quick viewing of WSJ on my phone. No muss, no fuss.

N70%
by N####:

Way more trustworthy than NYT. Balanced reporting and not subject to bias by ommisssion. Great editorial staff. I read CNN to get the etreme views but I trust WSJ. App is easy and reliable.

As a young man (25) developing my own view and ideas of the world, I have found this resource to be informative and up to date.

Would rather have a paper spread out in front of me, but in a pinch, this works pretty well.

N70%
by N####:

This is is my first stop for domestic and international financial and general news. Consistently the best reporting. I have subscribed to the WSJ online since it first was published.

N70%
by N####:

Every story you want to read is free everywhere else but for this app. Each story is blocked unless you have a subscription so what's the point

N70%
by N####:

Love it, except my saved news articles do not sync up between multiple devices and the PC. PLEASE FIX!

K70%
by K####:

The best source for news on the stock market and business over all. The interface and content are clean and we'll organized. No problems loading or accessing.

N70%
by N####:

Garbage stories about rich people too greedy for their own good

T70%
by T####:

I wish the ads weren't so distracting, they fill a third of my screen. The journalism is great though.

N70%
by N####:

If you can withstand US news on the front page, you get a great global outlook. Good app too.

N70%
by N####:

The WSJ is about the only honest national newspaper available. The app allows me to keep updated wherever I am.
