Zedusa is a simple and lightweight app that shrinks photos in size in order to pass them to an application that is capable of sending them such as E-mail, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Blogs etc.
If you wish to give Zedusa a low ranking, please at least leave a comment explaining what is wrong so we can improve it. You can also e-mail as at info@aroha.mobi and we will do our best to help you out.
Resize and send all your images and photos with at most 2 clicks (can be set to 0!). Reducing the size of them will drastically reduce the time it takes to send e-mails and upload them to other sites.
It's a great tool for those on the move, in a bus or car, on the train etc. where your phone's reception might not be the most reliable and you want to send a small photo as quickly as possible.

1. Launch your photo Gallery or file browsing software
OR
From opening Zedusa, you have 3 buttons on the help screen:
- Launch Gallery to find the photos
- Find the files with the built-in file browser
- Take a photo directly within Zedusa and resize it immediately
2. (When choosing from Gallery) Click the Share (or Send to) button
3. (When choosing from Gallery) Select Zedusa
4. Choose size reduction % (tick the checkbox to make it the default value)
5. Choose application to send photos to (tick the checkbox to make it the default app)

1. Open Zedusa
2. Menu -> Settings
3. Enable "automatically process folder"
4. Enter the folder's path (e.g. /mnt/sdcard, /storage/sdcard0/DCIM/Camera etc.). If you don't know the path, you can use the file browser from the main screen in the app (the big middle icon).
5. Save an image file in that folder and Zedusa will automatically process that image
* 6. You may optionally set the default resize percent and destination application to totally automate resizing images.

Zedusa crashed when I initially tried to process 150 images, but it was OK processing 140. I guess you just have to know it's limitations (there's obviously a hell of a lot going on under the hood, and factors such as individual image size have to be taken into account). I could really do without the processing report at the bottom of the screen, however (I don't really want to know if something was successful. Just tell me if something failed).

Love this app. Quickly resizes my photos to any of 9 choices. Either one at a time if as a bunch. Automatically stores them in their own folder after resizing and can be set to automatically send them to a list of apps. Haven't tried that yet. No problems with this app on a Motorola droid.

I needed an app that would allow me to resize the pictures before emailing them something similar to what can be easily done in iphone. All my research didn't reveal any other app which could do it so easily and intuitively. I tried the free version of this app and was sold on it so bought this one. Another very important feature for me before I install any app on my phone is the number of permissions it asks for. I am not comfortable installing something which requests access to my secure locations. This app was great in this respect too that it didn't ask for any such permission. The only weakness this app has is that it can't resize videos it can only resize pictures. I hope an update addresses this weakness in near future.

All I needed was something so I wouldn't have to email people THIRTY-SIX freaking inch wide pictures. I take full resolution pics for my own use, but 99% of the people I email them to don't want to have to scroll around a giant picture on their computers. So Zedusa is perfect for me. I take a pic, send it to Zedusa, then to email and I'm good to go. Zedusa makes it streamlined. It allows you to set a default size for your pictures so you don't have to constantly pick which size you want (you can override it if you want to). Another great thing it does is not modify the original picture, it just makes a copy and saves the modified copies on the phone in their own album (so I can save them, or delete them all at once). Very nice. And just as easy to send pictures from the photo gallery. And I can batch process them so I can shrink and send multiple photos at once in one email (in the 99 cent version). I tried ZedusaLite first and after some testing I spent a whopping 99 cents and had the paid version running fine on my phone. Now when I send my friends & family a picture they don't have to scroll all around and still only see 1/8th of it at a time.
