Die WebApp „Wo sie ruhen“ gibt einen hörbaren Überblick über 37 wertvolle, denkmalgeschützte Friedhöfe in 16 Bundesländern und lässt 1007 Grabstätten ihre besondere Geschichte erzählen: von dem jeweiligen „letzten Garten“, von hier bestatteten Persönlichkeiten sowie ihren Grabmalen, von denen viele von architektonischer und kunsthistorischer Bedeutung und zum Teil sorgfältig restauriert worden sind.
Die WebApp stellt auf jedem Friedhof ca. 25 Persönlichkeiten vor, gewährt ein Einblick in ihr Leben und Wirken und bringt sicherlich mitunter Unbekanntes und Überraschendes zum Vorschein, auch bei Berühmtheiten.
Eine Besonderheit der WebApp liegt in der Bereitstellung von Audioinformationen, um die historischen Friedhöfe und Grabstätten zu präsentieren. Dazu haben 26 Autorinnen und Autoren informative und anschauliche Kurzportraits erarbeitet, die von dem Schauspieler und Rezitator Hans-Jürgen Schatz eingesprochen worden sind und über die WebApp hörenswert direkt vor Ort vorgetragen werden.
Die WebApp bietet eine GPS-Navigationshilfe, die das Auffinden der Grabstätten wesentlich erleichtert, da selbst versierte Friedhofsbesucher mitunter Probleme haben, ein bestimmtes Grab zu finden. Die WebApp ermöglicht erstmals einen flexiblen und spontanen Zugriff auf Informationen zu den Friedhöfen und Grabmalen in ihrem jeweiligen räumlichen und kulturellen Kontext. Umfangreiches Bildmaterial rundet die Präsentation ab und ermöglicht es auch zu Hause, einen emotional ansprechenden Eindruck dieser kulturellen Werte zu bekommen. The WebApp "Where they rest" gives an audible summary of 37 valuable, listed cemeteries in 16 states and takes 1,007 tombs tell their special story of each "last yard" of the persons buried here as well as their grave times, many of which are of architectural and art historical significance and have been carefully restored to some extent.
The WebApp up on any cemetery around 25 personalities before, granted a glimpse into her life and work and certainly brings sometimes unknown and surprising to the fore, even with celebrities.
A special feature of the WebApp resides in the provision of audio information to present the historic cemeteries and tombs. 26 These authors have developed informative and illustrative brief portraits that have been eingesprochen by actor and reciter Hans-Jürgen Schatz and carried forward over the WebApp worth listening locally.
The WebApp provides a GPS navigation aid, the much easier to find the graves, since even savvy cemetery visitors sometimes have trouble finding a particular grave.
