The app is clunky, the buttons don't make sense, it look like it should come with a manual to use it.

bei einem anruf oder wenn man fotos macht unterbricht die aufzeichnung. die zähler verlieren ca 10 - 20 min. andere tracker laufen im hintergrund weiter (komoot, my tracks) und verlieren dadurch keine info. einige tracks können wegen sonderzeichen im namen nicht zum pc übertragen werden. eigentlich schade, da funktionen und karten top sind. 5 sterne, wenn o. g. behoben!

Use it with Open Cycle Map for all my bike touring and with Open Street Map when driving in unfamiliar cities. Gets better with every update, though it's hard to imagine what could be improved for how I'm using it.

This looks like a Windows 95 map. Took me ages to find a supported map for France and when I did it just would not show my position. Good effort to localize this for more countries but clearly this is a german friendly app.

I use apemap since years, but since a few month it causes to regular crashes of my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S5) about after 30 min. or even earlier. Is there a way to diagnose why it crashes?

Ich mag diese App sehr gerne, und sie ist ein treuer Begleiter bei Wanderungen und Laufen. Nur setze ich die App international ein, womit nur OpenStreetMaps als brauchbare Karte übrig bleibt. Leider wird der Text damit so unglaublich klein angezeigt, dass es fast unmöglich ist den Inhalt zu lesen. Ansonsten eine super App. Edit: Mit Vorskalierung der Karte super!

Habe Kartenmaterial um 20EUR gekauft, um Wanderkarten offline zur Verfügung zu haben, dann Karte runtergeladen, dann Wandern gegangen, und dann hats nicht funktioniert "Karte steht nicht zur Verfügung". Naja, eher blöd.

ich habe diese app vor ein paar jahren gekauft, seither wurde sie mir mehrfach wieder zum "KAUF" angeboten, was sich nicht gehört! seit ich mein phone von cm 12 auf cm 12.1 geändert habe sagt ape map: "0002 öffnen der karte"@" fehlgeschlagen! 00117 karte wurde für ein anderes telefon erzeugt." (es handelt sich dabei um selbst eingelesene swissmap-cd's) SOO gut ist ape map nun auch wieder nicht, dass es sich das alles leisten könnte. ps. parallel dazu laufen schon lange die excellenten vector-maps von open street maps auf osmand+ , wenn apemap diese peinlichkeit nicht unverzüglich in ordnung bringt, fliegt's halt ganz raus!

Würde die Karten gerne komfortabler vorladen. z.B. gleich für ganz Österreich oder für ein Gebiet. Das vorladen mit Touren ist zach, weil ich meistens nur das tracking und die Karte verwende, nicht aber eine Tour.

I like the app and have used it hiking in Austria. Pity the help guide is only in German as there are a few features that i couldn't and still can't work out. However, it does the job well and would have rated a 5 except for the help menu.
