台灣近期空氣污染嚴重，空氣污染問題也逐漸受到民眾關注，PM2.5英文全稱為particulate matter，是指大氣中直徑小於或等於2.5微米的顆粒物，也稱為可入肺顆粒物。人類頭髮直徑大約是70微米，這就比PM2.5大了近三十倍。PM2.5主要來源是人為排放，其中直接排放主要來自燃燒過程；另外在空氣中轉化成PM2.5的氣體污染物主要有二氧化硫、氮氧化物、氨氣、揮發性有機物，除此之外還有各種灰塵、花粉等。

Taiwan's recent air pollution, air pollution have gradually been public concern, PM2.5 English called particulate matter, refers to the atmosphere in diameter less than or equal to 2.5 micron particles, also known as particulate matter into the lungs. A human hair is about 70 microns in diameter, which is nearly three times larger than PM2.5.
