Drive Safe

Great app. Simple and effective. Within 20 secs of driving it engages, silencing any calls and texts. When you stop driving it stops and calls ring as normal. It would be great if there were the facility to easily pause the auto start feature for a given time period for times when you are on public transport or are a passenger - after the pause period the auto start system restarts. That would make a great app even better!

So, it's a great app without bloat. It switches on within seconds and off again shortly after getting out the car. You can customise the message and people seem to appreciate knowing why I am but answering the phone. However, it frequently unchecks auto-start and auto reply (which means it then fails to turn on, and then the phone rings!). Sort that out and it will be five stars.

Drive Safe is not bloated with features and functions to add unnecessary complexity. With Auto-Start it just detects when I am on the move and stops me taking calls and answering texts. This allows me to drive safely without distractions. Full marks to Andrew Irwin

Even with auto start it seems to engage as soon as you turn it on, rather than only when you are in a moving moving vehicle. So much for auto start. It does not disengage when you leave the vehicle. You have to manually start and stop it. It responds to every message whether you are in a car our not. I don't have phone calls toggled, but have not received any while this is turned on.

This is a great app that gets the job done. It works without your location on!!! I get in the car, about 30sec later it realizes that I am Driving and goes into driving mode. Driving mode silences my phone and even sends a personalized message to anyone that calls or texts me. Then I get out of the car, I usually place my phone in my pocket and BOOM it comes out of driver mode. That last version didn't work good on my phone.. but I just updated today and I am VERY HAPPY with the new update.. please keep it simple! Thank you for saving lives.

Knowing how distracting answering phone calls while driving is, I looked for such a safe driving app. I evaluated (Drive Safe) among many and found it to be the best. Its simplicity is a key feature. The auto start feature worked well but you can also operate the app manually. With customized auto messages, callers would know you can't answer and would call back. The emergency mode is another plus point for this app. I loved it and have shared it with family and friends. Highly recommended.

The only reason I put this app on my phone is because I'm like a lot of people when your phone goes off you wanna see who it is which Kant very often for me everyone knows when I'm driving and not to call or text, but the the ones who still does this app helps stop that letting them know I'm driving. I really like the auto future set it and forget it

This is the best one that I have found so far. Every other one either doesnt turn on or off as advertised. It does seem to use more power than I would like though on my Samsung Note 5. Common problem with all the driving apps. One suggestion would be for the phone to drop out of diving mode after the vehicle stops for 3 minutes. The phone doesnt always go with the driver and the app seems to rely on a pedometer type of motion to deactivate the drive mode.

This is a phenomenal app! Clean layout without bloated advertisements or excess features you don't need... But let's be honest, it's meant to keep you focused on the road so why clutter this excellent all with that junk. My only wish was that it disable all notifications to keep my Gmail/game notifications silent and a widget for my home screen to toggle on/off without opening my apps list. Those pieces are minimal, functionality is spot on so 5

Love it, it really works. Everyone should use this app. There's alot of accidents because of cell phone use while driving this app would help stop some of it if people would just us it

Work ok if you manually turn it on but I keep having to go back I to the settings to reselect the auto on feature. Kind of defeats the purpose. 5 stars if fixed

Is there any way to NOT send a message to a LANDLINE? It's good to send the message to a mobile, but I don't want to message a landline, as ALOT of people (especially elderly etc...) aren't set up on their landlines to accept text messages... (alot probably wouldn't know what to do if the phone rang as a text message?) and it's an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to cancel if you're not set up right, the phone keeps repeat ringing at 2 or 3 hour intervals until you cancel it! So can we do some to distinguish between mobile and landline calls? A text reply to mobiles But an instant recorded voicemail (that you can edit yourself) to landlines? Apart from that SUPER APP. - very handy! Especially if like me you're a taxi driver, who needs to keep his phone on, but can't always answer the phone...

Love the simplicity and easy layout. Only thing, once in awhile the auto comes off and I have to redo click it. Otherwise Awesome App!

It helps to change my driving behaviour. I am more safety cautious now. Thank you for this wonderful app.

It says I'm driving even with the app turned off when someone sends me a text.

Doesn't always work. Been trying it for two days now, on the road constantly, and I have only had one message to get an auto response. About a dozen others have come through while driving with no action from the app, although it is on and active. Oh well.

Do not get this app! Don't even try it.i deleted it and it is still texting people saying I am driving using up my minutes

It did not work. All it did was put my phone on silence but I could text and get the text. The reply message did not work so I uninstalled it.

Works great, starts and stops by itself. Eliminates the need to shut my phone down while driving.

This app is great....it does exactly what is meant to do. I just love it. Thanks for the creator as ideas like that may help save thousands or millions of life every day in traffic.

Works great manually but auto start feature does not work on my Nexus 5x. Developer says be can fix that but no updates yet.

I really like the idea, but it comes on when I'm at home and turns on Do not disturb at the wrong times, and also doesn't turn off after a drive.

Will not allow for automatic on. Or it isn't clear to me. Once activated it also cancels phone. I would like phone capacity as it is connected to my hands-free system.

This app does exactly what I need. I don't get distracted by messages, but I can still play music & use navigation.

I like it but the auto start feature always turns off. Then I have to turn it on again. Fix plz!!
