Rooted SSH/SFTP Daemon for Android
Great News! In Release 10.0 we removed all ads in this App!
** YES!!! This App is now totally A D F R E E ! ! ! **
* * Note * * Users who cannot connect or are immediately disconnected maybe using an outdated/incompatible or corrupt su binary. Please ensure you have a functional super user app with the functional su binary installed on the device before you run this app for the first time.. If the Super User app is NOT granting root access this app will not work correctly.. Also, Posting one star without any feedback does not help us improve our apps (because we can't know what the problem is), does not help other users (because they get no feedback from you), does not help you (because you will never get app improvements if we don't know what the issues are)
* * Device MUST be rooted AND have BOTH the SuperUser AND BusyBox apps installed.. If you don't know what these are - this app is NOT for you!!!
* * This app is a SSH terminal server AND an SFTP file server. If you are unsure what these are then maybe this app is not for you.
A good discussion on how to rate any app: https://sourceforge.net/p/roboqr/discussion/help/thread/b335cf7d/?limit=25#85c3
Informative reviews are always welcome!
* * Current supported Languages in our free version (this version) is English ONLY!

Stopped working after updating my phone to 4.3 SuperSU and BusyBox installed Installed another SSH server and it works out of the box (and has a better logging as well) Three stars because it worked before.
Didn't work on my Galaxy S3. Developer stated that it does not work on S4, so I suspect it also doesn't work on S3's. Phone is rooted, supersu and busybox installed, app requests and is granted root access, and starts normally with no warnings or errors. However, the app never sets up a listener on the specified ssh port. I tried two other ssh servers, and both set up listeners, and clients were able to connect. So looks like an app problem.
Didn't work - Claims to have started, but there is no daemon listening for connections. No error messages displayed.
The only thing is when i sftp a file greater then 2 gigabytes i received a error Bad Message please look to this.
Seem to work for defined features, but included dropbear compilation does not include dynamic port forwarding feature.
Im angry at the developers comments,as to wether I should learn about or install there app,As I'm a novice the developer seems uninterested in helping people that don't all ready know about this subject.they state"if you don't already know then it's not for you", It's not for them to state this.Instead of giving details as to what there app does and how it works, there more interested in telling users why they should not give poor comments and stars about there app, heres a clue.give+details=positive results
lollipop 5.0.2 on xperia z1 compact build 14.5.A.0.270: ssh from terminal works but SFTP doesn't. Debug error: error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported
This works great! If you don't know what kind of damage you can do as root then I don't blame the author saying it's not for you.
Why. Simply why. Just call the goddamned Android API.
iuse this on my tv box, it was working fine, now very often it just refuses to connect .. sometimes it works
Vulnerability: The software comes pre-configured with a default login of User: root Password: abc123. This weak password would easily be guessed leading to root compromise of the android system.
Nice app! Thank you for adding SFTP. I can send files remotely and do SSH without having to use two server apps. It's perfect for all my rooted devices (SS3, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10). Well done!
Sadly, it doesn't under Lollipop. Guess I have to find a replacement now...
Works very well on the G-Box Q set top box connected to my TV except it seems to limit SFTP file transfers to 2GB. I cannot transfer a video file larger than 2GB.
Hello, love this server, but can't connect via filezilla anymore due to old diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 key exchange algorithm with is no longer secure. Please update asap.
This app worked perfectly for me. The only thing it is missing is the ability to start it with the server running so I could use a timer app to schedule it to run. Unless I am missing something there is no option to have the server on when the program loads.
This app works GREAT and is absolutely amazing lol. Thank you guys very much. This thing is essential for any sort of power-user.
For a free app I'm happy, thus I've given it four stars, but if it were a paid or ad supported app, I'd be giving it one. It's laggy as all hell, half the time you cannot even connect. When you do manage to log in it s slow as all hell, when you type, sometimes it takes a full minute to respond. Really needs some work doing on it to make it a decent app. EDIT: In response to your reply. I'm using PuTTY which works perfectly well with every other sshd I connect to with it. And trust me, I connect to a LOT of them. I'm connected to one right now in fact, it's tunneling Gnome to my local X-Ming allowing me to type this reply. Your app is good, and much kudos to you for making it free with no ads. It just suffers because I believe you're using input events? Try using a yeild/poll loop instead.

sftp-server is not position-independent executable, so sftp doesn't work in Lollipop (scp also doesn't work because of ls incompatibility). Pease fix this
The program does what it's supposed to, useful for wireless file transfers and remote administration from my desktop.
Doesn't work, while other SSH apps do. I have Busybox installed, and am rooted. LG G4/CM13. I get this error: "ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.85 port 22: Connection refused". Trying other port numbers does not work.
The server starts but I can't connect. No idea what is wrong.
Apps worked well in the past but now it doesn't. After starting the service, I noticed my phone is not listening on the ssh protocol. Please fix.
Needs update. Does not work on marshmallow.
Get SSHDroid.
Works great. Anyone who needs SSH from a PC should use this. It can just sit in the background, doing its thing.
Super useful! Use it all the time to transfer files between my ipad and android whenever I have WiFi. Works fine. Crashes when I shutdown the server, but it's not really a problem... Love the ability to achieve a substantial level of keyfile safety on a rooted android!
Good app. I am not able to set up key-based login. After selecting key location and pressing ok, an empty dialog appears to prompt me to enter location again. Very confused. Xperia M here.
Only ssh server that would work for me. Id get connections refused on other apps.
..and I've tried a few. Plus, NO ADs!!!
I have used this for years just fine. I know how to root and busybox and verified both working. This does not work.
Search for: "xda t2797731", check out post #83 (page 9, 5.1.x only). If you're on 5.0.x try post #84, but be warned, I didn't test it. Be smart, do a backup before overwriting system files. App itself works well enough. Needs UI overhaul (grey is ugly, make it like other Lollipop apps), power button should be green, not red. Password auth should be disableable. Five stars if you take your DB binaries and recompile them with PIE support and fix "Rescan" support on Lollipop (force closes). And enable on Wi-Fi
New Phone new Try: Works like a charm on Cynus T8.
Installed SuperSU and BusyBox but still connection refused errors only. Also FC every time I try to stop the daemon // edit: I was running the latest Cyanogen version for Android 4, I really doubt it's a Samsung issue. Moreover other SSH daemons are working fine.

Have it set up as easy as it seems it says it's running but I can't connect.
Great little SSH server, I've been using a paid competitor for some time, which seems like it always breaks on every little incremental rom or su upgrade . I always fail back to this app while fighting with the other one and it's like the energizer bunny, it just keeps on running no matter what. So I think I will just stick with this one :). Don't fret that it hasn't been updated in a while, no need to fix what's not broken. Highly Recommended!
