Screen does not show password confirmation button on panel. I expect a solution to my problem & ignorance will disappoont others too.

The very first private SMS I sent from a 'hidden' contact immediately appeared in my usual, visible Messenger app! Didn't like having to swap default SMS app from this to my usual one, but when I did revert to usual one having sent 1st msg, all previous messages from that contact had disappeared!! (Moto G (4) + Android M)
