Customers often misread handwritten VINs off of tdocuments. My computer already tells me when the VIN is wrong but won't let me know what's wrong. I need to know which number or letter in the 9th position will satisfy the check digit so that I can predict the approximate premium pending receipt of the actual VIN. Also decoding other characters such as the 10th digit (model year) would be a time saver

Very useful for law enforcement! Especially easy to use on a traffic stop.

Good to have, does just what it says & nothing else. I like that. Remember not to press Enter after the # or it will give you an error.
