I spent weeks looking for an app compatible with my existing NAS and was easy to use for even the youngest child. I inadvertently stumbled across VidOn while trying out another app. It worked flawlessly then. However, I recently discovered the app now crashes every time on the Note4's running 5.1.1. At first I thought this was due to the Private Mode function since it would crash when switching Modes, but VidOn now just crashes when trying to run it. Please fix. :(

Works very well on samba (smb) network shares and properly buffers videos on LAN (most apps don't do this). The big miss is chromecast support. Will become 5 stars once it has that.

Works well on Galaxy S4 and on the kid's Kindle Fire. Plays all videos through XBMC/KODI over the network. Responsive, simple, and just works well with a network stream even without the VidOn Server.

So I have this app on my kindle fire 3rd gen and works great. I love smb support and how you can save your content locally so you don't have to stream it. But on my Galaxy s5 running lollipop it crashes at launch with out fail. Would be 5 stars if it would run on this device
