Fantastic app. So well designed, impeccable ui, tools are on point, and I feel spoiled with as many features have been packed in. I go to add a track, and holy crap I can add more than I'll ever need! I go pick an instrument, and damn look at all the options! Oh shoot there's not a way to scroll between measures without snapping to, wait not only do I find there is a way to scroll freely but it's so well designed and easy to use! I would like to thank the developers personally.

I love the app. You guys used clever ways to implement the same work flow that can be achieved in other sequencers; however, I can't give this 5 stars. While you guys covered most bases, what would push this to 5 stars would be if you guys released a patch adding an endless/infinite loop mechanism. This is something that I'm sure most producers of any genre heavily use while making projects. I know I like to make a sequence then loop it for an hour while I intently listen and imagine more sequences.

X70%
by X####:

Good app. Needs improvements for work flow and more features that give users more freedom and control for making more "complex" music. (Like various effects for each moment on each note)

X70%
by X####:

Simple and effective for composing stuff on the go. Not necessarily that great for larger projects but I wouldn't say there's anything else capable enough on mobile platform anyway. I'll use it to try out things while writing my stuff down on paper. If it accepted custom soundfonts one could make something halfway decent on it alone

very nice app: fast, sensible, uncluttered. one feature it's sorely missing though is the lack of any kind of import. what if one wants to start with a .mid made in a different program? out of luck, gotta start from scratch. I'll most likely end up uninstalling it because of this limitation, but for those who don't mind having to always start from a clean slate, this is a solid tool that does the job.

This is about the only 'musicians scratchpad' i can think of that did it right. Even musepad (which is for-pay) doesnt match this apps simplicity and ease of use. However, an undo button is in order.

BUT it does what others fail to do: It actually allows you to write rough ideas in a very flexible note-wise way. 5 stars just for that much. Very good work, thank you.

This app is great! It is designed very well and works perfectly with my tablet. It is also very simple but can make complex things. I made songs in this app and they sound amazing. The only problem I have with this app is that it needs an undo button.

by T####:

Awesome, clean app with the most potential I've ever seen, all packed into under 1 MB. It currently has a clicking-percussion issue in Marshmallow, but the developer is very responsive to fixing issues and I think is working on it. It's truly a joy to write music in this powerful little piano roll!

X70%
by X####:

Fantastic. Took a while to figure out how to delete stuff (just a short tap) and it's just good. No ads, I can jot down musical whims as they come to me. Perfect, exactly what I was looking for, and everything that I needed.

X70%
by X####:

Excellent app. sounds are echo-ish. please make it so that, when you're in the mixer, you can type in the numbers instead of dragging the bar back and forth. and it would be great to have a mute button for each sound

X70%
by X####:

Been using for months, satisfied but can you add midi import? You've had the export for a long time now, and please update the design! (Which is optional but please do it if you can!)

Nice piano roll style MIDI sequencer. Having been a Cakewalk 3 user on PC since 1995 (now in a VM), there are two things that could really improve this app IMO. 1.Looped playback of selected bars during editing option. 2. Channel 10 (Drums) piano roll displays (abbreviated) GM drum names (or icons) instead of piano keys, there are over a hundred drum/percussion voices available in GM - far too many to memorize. Those features might be a bit much to ask for a free phone app, but I would gladly pay for a tablet version with them.

No ads, easy to use, can compose what I want just have to say that the sound preset are of poor quality but still a beautiful app.

This is the best midi composition tool on Android to date. A little clunky to use and would benefit from using a stylus, but very solid and usable for fleshing out a tune. Only better mobile composition tool is the Korg M01 for DS.

I´m very disappointed that I can´t open my existing midi files. What good is a sequencer that can´t use standard midi files? Devs, I await your reply...

V70%
by V####:

1. Most instruments in this are completely inaccurate (and a huge amount are just clones of others) 2. TERRIBLE for selecting large quantities of data. 3. When saving a file ('As...') there's no 'Overwrite?' prompt. Like... Seriously? Uninstalling this p.o.s.

I would like to know how to delete certain bars, and how to test which piano tiles sound like what without having to place a bar there. Please answer because this app was really fun but that problem really took away from the whole experience. Because I lost a lot of work from not knowing what the tiles sound like and having to delete entire projects to figure out.

It does what you want it to- make music. The features are somewhat lacking- i.e., it doesn't work in landscape mode and the UI is a bit overdesigned- but overall I highly recommend it.

X70%
by X####:

Lack of settings. May be a bit confusing at start. No infinite loop. But great app overall, because it's doing its job well.

N70%
by N####:

Continuing on my review below from my other account, the only advice/recommendation I have is that; a PC version would be wonderful, and the ability to insert samples and effects from outside sources would be a great feature.

X70%
by X####:

has some ui flaws and operates a bit bad but who cares! its an app for a phone! it doesent have to be perfect because phones are not a very accurate too.

X70%
by X####:

It's great, and I use it all the time, however, I run into glitches after a few minutes of use. (never terrible, but annoying and often tedious to fix)

Q70%
by Q####:

Very frustrating to use. I wouldn't recommend it. Could barely get notes placed and moved around correctly.

X70%
by X####:

This is a very good start for beginners. Especially me. There is a lot of good tools and mechanics in this app. It would be awesome to at least update this app and add more stuff into it like a better way to scroll around on your screen. Thanks for the amazing app! Please keep improving and I will rate 5

But I couldn't work this app at all.

D70%

I mean this app should have help options but it took me a few minutes to understand I mean I'm a 12 year old already composing piano songs this app has given me more than I need so its a 5 star for me.

Can't input my own music to edit, I would like to have this feature

X70%

I would really love to be able to have multiple instruments on the same page at the same time and for the other instruments to actually sound like the should. And I kinda need 8 and 16-bit sounds, too.

I can do anything I want to write and analyze classical pieces in no time precisely! Thank you, UTWorks!

I didn't find how they do loops, but is only thing that I miss. The app is very good to take a note. Please do posibility to loop 1 or 2 bars and to edit it listening the loop.

X70%
by X####:

Most programs at this level are paid apps. It's that good! I can actually make music on my phone with this!

X70%
by X####:

Great fun, almost 20 tracks playing at the same time, if anyone can write that many different instrument parts at the once. Easy to use, and a great nerdy time.

X70%
by X####:

If you add a way to view multiple tracks at the same time to make it easier (if there is a way I cannot find it)

I70%
by I####:

This is one of the greatest apps I have ever used. I have been using it for almost two years and I still find joy in making my own songs on it. It is very easy and simple to use

I use with midi melody to make impossible remixes. Well, that's if I have the patients

Best music studio app that comes for free. Please add more note divisions, and tell me how to copy or select entire sections at once. Add more instruments. Thanks for your great work

I love using this app for jotting down composition ideas when I'm away from my computer. It's truly excellent, easy to use and the instrument samples are of good quality.

A well made, simple app for writing down and perfecting that rhythm you created and can't get out of your head.
