About Ravulous Hot Right Now
Love knitting? Love Ravelry? Love looking at yarn based fashion?!
Ravulous Hot Right Now is a widget that you can add to the home screen of your Android device. Jelly Bean users can also add it to the lock screen. It shows you a list of the top 5, 10 or 20 most recently popular patterns in Ravelry, sorted by 'hot right now'. You can choose to show knitting, crochet, or knitting and crochet patterns. Once the widget is on your home screen it will update the pattern list automatically, and you can flip through the pattern photos at your leisure. Never again will you be the last to hear about a hot new pattern launch, or miss out on a pattern bargain offer!
If you also have Ravulous v2.0.3+ installed, you can tap on the individual pattern images to see the pattern details screen in Ravulous. Then you can easily look at all the photos for that pattern, full screen them, and check out yarn requirements and pattern notes. You can also purchase or download the pattern, or add it to your Ravelry queue for later.

Worked for many months but for the last year it refuses to display patterns and even on the newest Samsung android it is a no show...sigh as loved this widget originally!

I have County Plus, Ravulous and the photo uploader and I say this is a solid widget, working well on my Droid 4 ICS. The only things lacking are the ability to add one of the Hot patterns to my queue (not sure if the Ravelry API allows that) or have it open in a browser so I can purchase the pattern. The pictures look fantastic, and I love that you can see the pattern notes! GOOD JOB POLLY!

I have to remove the widget from my home screen and add it again to update sometimes but after I do that it runs great and works perfectly. I'm kind of obsessed with it

Love this app, though my queue has increased dramatically! Love that I never miss the latest hot knit/crochet. I love having this on my home screen and having an ogle during the day :)

I love this widget. Check it several times a day. Have told everyone at both my lys's about it. Works well with my Ravulous app. I love this sooo much!

With the lack of functionality I would expect this app to be free. You can see the feed and if you have Ravulous (which I do) you can see the details. Can't add to queue. Can't click somewhere to go to the website (can't click on any links in Ravulous). All you can do is look. I don't window shop well.

I really like it, but what would be helpful is to add a simple button to add to Ravelry favourites, or at the least, open in the browser? The patterns I look at only have the option to go to the pattern website outside Ravelry OR straight to PayPal log in to purchase. If I'm just browsing interesting new patterns, I just want to add to favourites to look at properly another time.

This app stopped working about a week ago. I've tried everything, reinstall/reboot to get it top work again. This is a bummer I really liked this app originally.
