Ravulous for Android
I was disappointed I was hoping that my patterns would be there too. I still have to go back and forth between me than one app
This app used to work great. But for the past few weeks it won't work at all. I get random errors saying it has stopped. Hopefully there is an easy fix cause I love it!
You can only search by pattern or yarn name, no advanced search, which isn't very useful. Otherwise it's a great interface and the rest of the features work well.
Goods luck searching for anything! Hitting the back button closes the program, constantly frustrating. Extremely confusing to use, and i am extremely computer savvy. Not worth the money!
Works well for most things but needs to be updated to include handspun. Could also use a project start feature.
Perfect app for a knitter or crocheter!
Really bummed. One of the things I love most about Ravelry is its search configuration and the fexibilty and detail it allows. I was really bummed this app didn't mimic that. In fact the only thing you cab search on is keyword. No needle size etc. Also it doesn't have a feed page. No popular patterns or newest added etc. Makes using it to look for new fun patterns pretty much useless. I'm considering developing my own app I was so disappointed.
This app has been having recent problems with connecting to Ravelry and uploading photos. It's hit or miss whether it will work, and usually need to kill all other apps before it will (maybe) work. Needs some updates and fixes for these errors.
UPDATE: reinstalled on my new S5 and it's no longer crashing so v happy. Still could do with a few tweaks to make perfect (deleting pics from projects for example) eo not quite a 5 star app but almost there. ORIGINAL REVIEW: So disappointed with this app. Great in principle but the app constantly crashes (I get notifications that it's unexpected stopped even when I'm not using it) and now when I use the app it closes every single time I try to open my projects.
It would be nice to be able to add a project from the app. I was able to add it to my cue, but I'm actually making it and I would like to upload photos. I also don't like that there is no way to go to the previous screen- you must start every search over. I wish there was more information on yarn- yardage, weight, fiber content, gauge, etc. The yarn store I work for has all of this info available on their website for no fee. It's nice to see photos of projects though, I guess.
I expected more from a paid app. Why can't I apply filters to my search?
Works well for most things but needs to be updated to include handspun. Could also use a project start feature.
I'm so happy to have this App! Thank you! I use it a lot to upload photos and checking project needs while I'm shopping!
Can't upload photos from my android phone to my project page wish I hadn't brought it
Useful but functionality is a bit limited
I love this app for on the go knitting
The one thing i need access to the most i don't have. But what is there is great. When u go to my projects it shows pattern name and generic info but still doesn't take me to the pattern in my library. If i have to go online for Ravelrey for that then not much use for the app
Last update, over a year ago. Abandoned, yet still profitable to the developer?
unable to login
When I first got it, it seemed like a good start, but nothing has really been added to it since then. I've been disappointed with the lack of improvements.
For a single developer, this is amazing work. Limited functionality, obviously, but still pretty great.
I love it!
I use Ravulous a lot. I like the interface better than Ravelry on my phone. But it annoys me that I can edit projects, but not create new ones. So I create a project on the website, then open Ravulous to edit it, then wonder why I bothered. I'm left feeling like I use the app mostly to justify having it, but that it's actually superfluous.
I would like the images to be larger when I do a search. It's impossible to shop through patterns; small pics, no refining in searches. (The images are the perfect size when I look through my favs.) If the app was free, I would not complain, but I'm not sure what value there is if I still have to use the web version from my tablet.
I really do like this app. But it seems to need more. Like being able to look at your library and other ways to actually look at other ravelry stuff.
It's a good start to an interface. Maybe I'm missing something but is there no way to delete photos you've uploaded? I can't seem to find that functionality.

I can't browse? Ouch. Feel like I wasted money because I can browse on the free app. A step backwards.
Love how this lets me edit/view projects on ravelry. Two things I'd like to see in the future updates is ability to add new projects and to sort searches by craft. GREAT JOB!! Thank you!
I would really like the ability to start a project in your queue and to sync more than one copy of app.
Perfect for photos to projects
Awesome
I don't know. It's fine. I'm just a little ticked because I just realized you can't add projects from your phone. It seems like a logical step since I can access patterns, take pictures of my projects and then upload them from my phone.
OMGs I've been waiting for this, being able to access Ravelry this way is a dream come true and its going to get me to use the website more effectively in terms of my profile but I've a couple of suggestions. Can I have access to my library as well as project and hooks (with click able links if possible)? . Also, it would be really useful if you could refine your searches the same way you do on the web format. Obviously you can't put in all the advanced search criteria into the add but just being able to weed out the free and paid for pattern, yarn weights and main category headings would help so much.
I really like this app! The updated version is great! I like that I can edit my works in progress without having to sit at the computer. I can make notes about each pattern as I make it and have them saved for later reference . Being able to see my "stash" while I am at the yarn store helps me from over buying yarn (like that is a real problem, you can't have too much yarn!!) The pattern and yarn database search is a big help. If I find a yarn I am not familiar with, I can look it up! I can pick a new pattern based on the yarn I already have. Or I can buy new yarn based on what is in my favorites or in my que. Being able to add to my "stash" the instant I purchase the yarn is also a nice benefit. (I enter the basics, snap a photo, upload it. When I get home I can edit that stash entry to give the finer details.) Another neat feature is also being able to look up what knitting needles and hooks I already have. That way if I am buying yarn for a project I can look and see if I have the right size needle already or not. The one thing I wish it could do was access the forums. But that is not really that big of a deal. This is a great app and I highly recommend it!!
The app lags horribly, search is extremely limited. Apps are supposed to be easier than accessing sites via Internet on mobile. On my Galaxy Note 2 it is still quicker and easier to pull up the actual site and use advanced search. They should have made a higher functioning app before slapping a price tag on it : (

I love the photo upload feature. Hope that soon I can upload pics to my fibre stash too.
Love this app.....such a great help..able to keep track of my notes easier than through the site (when using my phone), don't have to stop, go to computer, etc..just pause working on project, punch in notes and save..and share pics from gallery...and right to project... Thanks for the great app!

If I might suggest improvement, its to allow pics to go to the handspun section under stash. Or spinning projects! (Which Rav has now). I'm lowering it a star since it's been a long time and no updates or word on when fiber and spinning will be available.
