About Mobile Passport (CBP auth.)

The Mobile Passport app speeds you through U.S. Customs when entering the USA at 1 cruise port and 21 airports! Officially authorized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, MOBILE PASSPORT allows travelers to submit their passport control and customs declaration information via their Android device and bypass the regular line to enter the United States. This app effectively replaces the traditional blue-and-white paper declaration form required of all travelers entering the U.S. by air or sea.

1. Complete your profile with basic passport information.
2. Answer CBP’s questions about your trip.
3. Submit your information UPON YOUR ARRIVAL and get a receipt from CBP.
4. Skip the regular line and follow the signs for Mobile Passport Control.
5. Scan your receipt and show your passport to the CBP officer.

What are users saying about Mobile Passport (CBP auth.)

I used this at EWR and there's 2 things everyone needs to know: Not all CBP or baggage exit lines accept this so you must look for the lines that do (EWR did not have signs up front that said "Go past most other lines for MP"), and the initial QR code on the receipt page cannot be scanned (you must tap it because a magnifying glass overlaps it). Agents' ease of use with app varies.

Absolutely breezed through immigration at SFO today. Not a single person in the Mobile Passport line. Probably 100+ in regular US citizens line. A short wait for luggage and walked out through customs by scanning my tablet receipt a second time. Didn't have to fill in a single form. Great process. Not sure how much it will stay this fast once everyone starts to figure it out!

X70%
by X####:

Coming into JFK with a sprained ankle, and Mobile Passport put us through Customs in approximately 3 minutes. At JFK! The only wait was at Baggage because we got there so fast!

C70%
by C####:

I didn't find the app to be intuitive to use. Specifically, after entering my arrival details and filling out the customs declaration, I saw a massage stating that I had to complete customs formalities within 4 hours of filling in the declaration. I'm about 24 hours from arriving, and so it was a wasted effort. There was an implication that I could save my input, but I was unable to figure out how to do so. Given that this app doesn't do much (other than collect user data), more emphasis should be placed on ease of usage.

Took 2 min to download and fill out all the required info. Zoomed past the long lines and probably saved at least 30 min

Z70%
by Z####:

This app works miracles. We filled out the form for two passports, answered the four questions, and got off the plane. Walked what felt like forever in the DFW international airport. Got to immigration and walked straight through, no lines, no stamps, no screaming CBP officers. Made it to customs and scanned the app and that was it. So easy, probably 10 minutes total to get through customs and 7 of that was walking through the sprawling international terminal. If you are a US or Canadian traveler, you need this app, it might very well save your sanity.

by Z####:

Used this in IAH. App worked fine. Followed the Mobile signs past all the lines just to have all the people with paper forms put right back in front of us. Once at the agent's counter the it took much longer to scan and wait in between each one. People with paper forms got through in half the time. What's the point?

X70%
by X####:

Seamless to set up, but I never worked for me, disappointimg Not sure what the issue was and it could have been on the Immigration side. I tried to send the transaction 3 times and never received a receipt. Others did it and it they received the bar codes in minutes. For personal travel I don't need the App. since I have Global entry and would have been through Immigration while others were in line for the mobile pasport., but in this case I was traveling with family. Like the idea and I'll try it the next time I travel with family.

Z70%
by Z####:

We did save time going thru customs by using the app, however, while standing in line, we still had to fill out the declaration form just in case things didn't work. Also, the scanner had trouble reading the bar code. So the process needs a little tweaking, but it definitely made things faster.

I used it at JFK AIRPORT this pass January it was so easy to use and super quick I highly recommend it no waiting on those lines thanks to the TSB Fast Track Lane thumbs up

Z70%
by Z####:

Easy and smooth...no need to fill out customs paper slip. Have your passport ready for verification with Officer. You will be bumped ahead of the line!

W70%
by W####:

Tried to use the app twice with no success. After the first time wrote a review here, and somebody promissed to follow the issue up. After the second time I had a question and sent an email, but haven't received any answer. Feel very disappointed. Here are the details. My plane landed in JFK airport at 10-40 p.m. January 7. I submitted the form right after that, but there was a snowstorm, and we had to stay in the plane for four and a half hours more. When the receipt got expired, I tryed to do it one more time, but received the message about unavailability to proceed. I kept trying (we spent the whole night waiting on a hudge line), but the result was the same.

by Z####:

Prompt and seem less getting the information loaded. Did the download at the port, even told others around me. Guess what? They all got a receipt in seconds, while we got denied ! I travel on business frequency, never a problem. So now standing in line for over an hour! Have attempted 3 times. My suggestion is to do the process in advance, get cleared and save yourself a frustrating experience!

I'm a Flight Attendant. We all downloaded together in 5 min, and cruised thru customs in the damned amount of time. I LOVE IT

Z70%
by Z####:

Felt like a rock star using this app. Came home from Madrid at JFK T7 and the line to go through immigration was at least an hour long. Asked one of the airport workers where do Mobile Passport users go and he said right this way and we were out of immigration in 3 minutes bypassing at least 100 people.

Z70%
by Z####:

Very easy to use. Download the app while a very long line and in 5 min we bypassed the long lines

N70%
by N####:

Only found out about it tonight, while standing in customs. Downloaded it, set it up, super easy, and shaved about a two hour wait off. I'm sold.

M70%
by M####:

Very simple to use. The scanning of the passport took longer than I thought, maybe because of a reflection or blur, but once that was done, entering info was easy. Going through customer was an absolute breeze and saved me tons of time especially since I didn't have a checked bag.

F70%
by F####:

Wuick and easy to set up and use. No more paper form. Used it for the first time today at IAD. I was through customs in less than 3 minutes. We'll see how it goes in the future.

O70%

Worked well no problem. Used after cruise in Fort Lauderdale. You need to pay attention to signs so you don't wait in line or find shortest line that was mobile passport.

Z70%
by Z####:

Very limited ports of entry and even less choice of airline carriers .... I had high hopes of using the app but my destination and airline were no where to be found...and LAX is a pretty big airport serving a lot of people .... more stars when it's more accessible:)

N70%
by N####:

flew through customs and passport control and saved hours compared to sitting in line

Nexus 5, Android M. SFO. Would not submit. At baggage claim the man next to me had a Mobile Passport pass - he said his app worked fine. Update: Developer asked for direct message. Then had zero follow-up whatsoever.

Z70%
by Z####:

Easy to use and saves time. You can even scan your passport, which makes it super easy to get started. I also like the instructions on the length of time you should submit new trips. Also nice that you can manage multiple travelers on one phone.

H70%
by H####:

Boo! My barcode and receipt disappeared in the time I cleared immigration and arrived at customs. Leaving me with no evidence of having submitted anything. I was pulled aside for a very lengthy secondary screening.

Z70%
by Z####:

Used it once so far, coming into JFK. Wouldn't accept the submission. Would have given it one star, but the kiosks at JFK were rejecting 95% of the people as well. Perhaps a bad day, but it was a mess and wished it worked

Z70%
by Z####:

Arriving back at Port Everglades and having cellular and internet access, the app kept saying it was offline and didn't work. Ridiculous. I filled it out for 7 individuals and now it doesn't work.

Z70%
by Z####:

Easy. Saved me time. Not feeling well from my trip. Bypassed huge line when I needed to get home fast.

Z70%
by Z####:

I cannot comprehend why you are not using this app if you are able to. I breezed right thru customs upon landing into JFK from Paris today. Download this app!

Z70%
by Z####:

It's a good app, but there was only one agent processing mobile entries in to the country at Fort Lauderdale airport. 2 flights came in simultaneously so the wait was still a good 30 minutes. The app is not the problem, it's the airport.

N70%
by N####:

I'm sooo glad someone told me about this app. I was able to bypass a really long line at JFK and got through customs in about 5 minutes!!!

W70%
by W####:

Waited at the mobile pass line as they were attending diplomats in the same line. Stood there for 18 minutes waiting on 4 people.

Z70%

Breezed through customs when landing in Dulles (IAD). Bypassed an hour plus line! Must have for any traveler.

Z70%
by Z####:

Set up for family passports was time consuming but then flying through customs made it worth the prep time!

Zip past the long lines into a queue just for users of this app.

Z70%
by Z####:

Download apps at cruise terminal and went right through customs on the way back. Room to street was 14 min.

J70%
by J####:

Used it today entering at JFK. Saved so much time, the regular lines were just long, whereas we were on line behind just one other family. Simple to use and we'll explained at entry.

A70%
by A####:

Helped us make our connecting flight. Without it, we definitely would have been delayed.

G70%
by G####:

Saved at least 30 minutes at JFK today using this app. Mobile Passport users went just as fast as Global Entry, but Global Entry costs $100 and requires an interview, while this app is free. Impressed.

H70%
by H####:

It doesn't work for any Chicago Airports... O'Hare or Midway? Seriously, are these airport not big enough?
