MobileID is an affordable solution to collect livestock identification information associated with RFID and barcoded tags. Just install MobileID on your Android phone or tablet, pair with a wireless RFID reader and start scanning tags. Attributes such as age, sex, breed and other identification can also be collected. Data are saved in a format that can be shared immediately with business partners via e-mail, copied to a cloud drive or uploaded to your computer.
Users can try out basic features of the app at no cost (saving data to a file is disabled in the free version). When you choose to save data, a message will pop-up allowing you to upgrade to the full version for $29.99.
Version 1.2.2 released! Location, date and time now attached to each animal record for verification purposes. Also includes integration with Google Maps! **Note, capturing location information is dependent on the capabilities of your mobile device.

Not truly free. Costs $22-- to be able to transfer data from the program.

Works well for pairing weights with RFID tags. I use a DTEK50 (blackberry android) and you just need to enable screen overlay and data storage for the app in order to save your sessions. Exports easily to excel in csv format.

This is a great RFID reader! We used this system at our County Fair, we could read Cattle RFID tags from 1 foot away and then the County Fair Vet could read the cattle numbers on the Tablet. this unit worked so well and easily that I had trained the Beef Barn chair people to then check in the rest of the cattle. Great Support from RIS also!!
