My BMW Remote

I heard BMW connected will replace this app but my phone is not compatible with that new app. Am I forced to buy a new smart phone? So, why kill this app? Or why not make that new compatible with older smart phones? This app works well on my samsung galaxy. Not sure why others have problems with this app. Perhaps, a virus causing it. I use mcafee to protect my phone. Btw, The new app has more bad reviews also.

I didn't buy my BMW for the app, but when you spend so much money on a car a working app is expected. I've never been able to get this app to work. Every time I try it crashes. It's useless, juts like the technology I paid for in my car that works with the app. I can't get the full experience of my vehicle because BMW decided to get lazy and ignore the app and the associated technology. My wife has a Mercedes and their app is far superior with all aspects of it functioning without issue.

Does not work. Says, "no remotes services sent to your car". The BMW is a 2015 328i and phone is Android with latest OS software installed. But remember that these are the same people that want $800 to update your radio to Sat radio when other car makers like VW have it on all their radios already for free.

I have a new 2015 x5 and can't get this app to connect to the vehicle. Latest android updates installed. Regretting the extra $ paid to get the connected services because overall they're not user friendly, don't work, and even if it did work there aren't many options. Competitors have much better apps - BMW should outsource if they're not doing so already or cancel the contract with whoever built this. Vehicle finder doesn't work even if you are standing beside it. QA your work please.

FC's every single time you launch it, but I suppose you should expect that from the idiot team that can't even get Connected working after promising its customers the world pre-sale. This dev team should just commit suicide so we can get a real replacement... Latest update is MORE garbage from the incompetent dev's at BMW. If you search for something through maps and it comes up. You select it and.... nothing yes... it does nothing... great update!!! Does anyone even test this app?!?!?

Login and credential issues galore. Took 3 weeks for BMW to sort that out. Now that I can login, the app immediately force closes! Looks like the same issue as everyone else on Android 7 / Nougat!

When I first installed the app the remote functions worked on my 2016 M4, except for the remote unlock (have to call). Now none of the remote functions work. But they work fine when I use the app on my iPod Touch, so it's the Android app that doesn't work.

The vehicle finder used to work, but with the new update, it does not now. It says I must b closer to use the feature but even with me next to it, it still is saying that I'm outside of the distance.

I have a Pixel XL and this app just won't load. Why hasn't this app been updated in 6 months? Pay a lot of money for a car and an advertised service doesn't even work. Great customer service from BMW...

App not working and unable to log in using BMWconnectdrive credential. Called customer support and they had no idea about how to help. Asked me to call other departments. Useless.

This app keeps force closing ever since I got the Android Nougat update. I even did a factory reset on my phone and installed it fresh, yet the problem still persists. Please update to fix compatibility issues.

it's freaking 2016 and you can not turn your car on/off or operate the AC from the app. even worse, the LOCATE function never works. all I can use this app for is the LOCK/UNLOCK the car. useless.

With each new BMW, functionality increases. It is great that the App can be secured with just a pin, after first ConnectDrive login, rather than having to type in each time. On my 2013 F10 and F01, I was able to unlock the car, flash the lights, and locate the vehicle. With my 2016 F10, I am able to do all that plus precondition the car as well as set it on a timer; there is a slight delay but not bad. I do wish I could remote start like European version. Wish it locked and set Alarm; leaves gas not secured

The app doesn't even hold. It closes within seconds of opening it up. Has been happening ever since I downloaded it. BMW is a wealthy company. Why haven't they fixed it. We own a MB and their app works great. Shame on BMW.

Holy-crashtacular Batman! This app is a total piece of junk on Android. They should simply pull it off the store until they get it right.

I just have to throw some objectivity to all the negative reviews on here. First, half of them are BS. I use this app with Samsung Galaxy S7 and it works 100% of what the app claims, 98% of the time. What I would like to see is remote start functionality so I could really cool down the car before I get in it. Other that that, I have no clue why so many are complaining about this.

Before Nougat: Been using this app for about a year. My favorite feature is sending a map location to my car. It's much easier to use this app than entering an address using iDrive in the car, which won't have an address in its database about 25% of the time. WITH NOUGAT: Unusable due to crashing after entering pin.

This is the one useful feature that worked with my 2015 X1, and now it's gone! So very disappointing. Please fix and bring it back!!! Summer Update: I'm glad to report the send location feature has been fixed and now works.

Please outsource the app management if your tech guys are incompetent. This is shame on bmw that they associated with such a low ratings of their product. My app connected two days ago to my car. Often says car is moving even after hours parked. Force close

Does what it says. It's not incredivle but it's nice to send a place you want to the car or find your works well at the airport after a long trip when you forget exactly where you parked.

BMW NA support now says 2011 335i is no longer being supported and that BMW Assist is no longer being offered for that year. So...no roadside assistance, no vehicle recovery etc. Switching to another coupe that is not BMW soon.

This app does not work at all with Android Nougat on Google Pixel. As soon as you launch the app, it crashes. Emails to BMW are ignored. Would be great to use this feature if it actually worked.

Please fix!!! Vehicle status always reported as 'fully charged', even when battery at 5%. Worked fine before... this is for my X5 e40.

Why can't you unlock the car from the android app but the works fine on iOS? Car location is mostly wrong. Come on BMW. You can definitely do better than that...

Just got a BMW, was very excited for this app... installed it, and now it force closes after I enter the PIN. Looks to be an issue with Android Nougat OS... I certainly hope this gets resolved as I'd like to play with it!

Keeps crashing, I guess some update went wild. I would recommend testing an app before sending it to the wild. Thanks.

This app is useful, but doesn't work with android 7. It instantly crashes when you launch the remote functions. Worked fine on Android 6. Phone upgraded to Android 7 and it doesn't work at all.

I guess BMW group cannot afford to make a proper android application that actually works. Another reason to switch to Tesla next

Note: Vehicle Finder only works if the vehicle is within 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) from the iPhone and the vehicle’s ignition is turned off. Really for android app you are saying 0.6 miles from iPhone are you sleeping while adding a note?? all these features are a joke will move to Tesla Thank You BMW

stopped working. number that it tells you to call doesnt have access to fix. will tell you to go to the dealer even though its a remote app and they do not need the car to fix this. BMW fails in this department

Communicates well for me, sometimes gets locked up when entering multiple map locations to send to the car but overall pretty cool! I recently learned my car has out of date cellular technology so I'm hoping this app will still be able to function!

All BMW TV commercials are fraud! Can't read text off of android. No apps for android! Send destination to car 90% of time says: "can't find the address". Fire the stupid development team and hire some kids to do the job right!

Sucks, the version before was better. It allowed us to send address from the phone to the navigation for easy access. This new version doesn't have the capability to do so. This is basic, come on BMW!!!!!

Never in the past have I ever had this app actually do anything it's supposed to. Now with Nougat 7.1 it crashes immediately upon logging in. Time to finally just throw in the towel and uninstall. I really expected more.

I'm tech savvy but this app is so complicated to install. Soooo many forms and permissions. Going in circles and still it doesn't work. After an hour in the car trying here I am rating it instead of using it.

Sending location to car works most of the time. Car location tracker never shows me the current location. Overall, the app lacks so many integration features available on the ios version.

Used to work just fine. Tells me there is no vehicles registered. But when I log into Connected Drive on web it shows my vehicle. Needs work.

lately this app says BMW Remote had stopped. This Osborne useful anymore, so I am uninstalling

BMW should be ashamed of themselves.

Extremely poorly supported app. Very disappointed in BMW.
