Europa na Widelcu

Co roku na początku czerwca Wrocław ma swoje kulinarne święto – festiwal „Europa na widelcu”, podczas którego wrocławianie kosztują potraw z różnych regionów Europy. To jedyna tego typu impreza w Polsce organizowana cyklicznie na tak dużą skalę. Wydarzeniu patronują Piotr Bikont i Robert Makłowicz. Festiwal odbywa się w samym sercu miasta – na wrocławskim rynku.

Po raz pierwszy europejska biesiada odbyła się 4 czerwca 2009 roku. Wrocław świętował w ten niestandardowy sposób rocznicę pierwszych wolnych wyborów. Wrocławianom tak zasmakował ten sposób obchodów, że impreza na stałe zagościła w miejskim kalendarzu.

Tradycyjnie wrocławscy kucharze przygotowują ok. 30 tys. porcji degustacyjnych, skosztować można dwóch różnych potraw z 16 wybranych regionów europejskich.

Festiwalowy program oprócz strawy dla ciała, zapewnia też pokarm dla ducha. Nie brakuje konkursów, oryginalnych imprez towarzyszących oraz innych wydarzeń kulturalnych. Stałym punktem stały się już: parada wrocławskich kucharzy inaugurująca imprezę oraz koncert Wroclove Big Band Zbigniewa Czwojdy, który co roku stanowi kulminację obchodów. Jednodniowej biesiadzie tradycyjnie towarzyszy kilkudniowy jarmark produktów spożywczych. Every year in early June Wroclaw has its own culinary festival - festival "Europe on a fork", during which the cost of Wroclaw dishes from different regions of Europe. It is the only event of this kind in Poland organized periodically on such a large scale. The event is under the patronage of Peter Bikont and Robert Makłowicz. Fixed point have already become: a parade of Wroclaw cooks inaugurating the event and a concert of Big Band Zbigniew Wroclove Czwojdy, which every year is the culmination of the celebrations.
