SSID Selector with WiFi Widget for Android
Good. Just annoyed have to uninstall this before rebooting phone, otherwise get Screen Overlay Error messages. I think in safe-mode can disable all SSID Selector notifications, and that fixed my phone; of course now lost selection option on pull down menu.
Well so far so good. Does exactly what I've been looking for. Other apps either didn't work right or at all. Only thing I would like is the ability to assign alias/nickname to the networks on the widget. Not to change the SSID, just what it's displayed as in the widget.
I love the app. It worked great until I upgraded to lollipop - Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It has fantastic integration with tasker, but it seems to have lost the ability to connect.
Has no provision to turn off wifi when your preffered networks are not in range which defeats the purpose of the app. Might as well switch manually. Program provider doesn't respond to emails either.
Icons are very ugly, and get stretched in the widget if the name is long. Please change the icons to minimalist vector-style and color them gray/blue or grey/orange or gray/green. In the notification, the name gets cut off if it's too long, maybe decrease font size and allow text to wrap across two lines? Also, the Best Net option is broken. Lastly, there's no way to choose which order the SSID-names are displayed in! Please fix all these. Thanks!
Selecting WiFi SSID via Tasker is now possible thanks to this. CM11 Android 4.4.4 hammerhead device.
Worked fine on KitKat but ssid doesn't change on lollipop. Please fix :)
I honestly love this app one of the best. purchases I made. Being able to switch on the fly with no menu needed. Then came the android L testing. Still worked good then all the sudden I keep getting the message this app is not licensed . swapped Roms with multi ROM like I normally do to use certain apps that don't work with L and the same thing happened. Just bought a new nexus 7 today and this was the first app I installed... And again it tells me again that it is not licensed..
Functional but the UI is a little basic. Would be better if it supported natively running in the background instead of forcing a notification.
Not working on my galaxy s4 - android 4.4. It disconnects wifi, but will not reconnect to the best wifi available. Nothing happens and 3g gets connected. Same thing happens when I try to use the tasker plugin.
This app's Tasker plugin is amazing and works great on 4.3. Previously I had thought that the 4.3 update broke this app, but it must have been my network. Awesome support from the dev.
Would be good if I didn't have other ways to do this. Would be better if it showed signal strength. The settings get reset each time it's opened.
Works but ssid widget icons slow to react / no feedback on press
Perfect app and dev is responsive and great.
I was already frustrated on learning Tasker when I tried this app. I had some questions about how to set it up with Tasker and sent dev. an email. He got back to me within a couple of hours. I Had to ask a follow up question and got a reply even faster.
Quickly switch between WLan SSID from widgets on your desktop.
I was surprised, tasker did not have this feature. That's why i decided to use this app after some googling. Satisfied... my Galaxy Note connects to "Connectify" hotspot, when i start the hotspot. Many taps were needed before...
App works as advertised, and customer support is amazing. Emailed with a bug in 4.2, developer emailed me back and confirmed bug, then emailed me again later to inform me that an update will be available in a few hours to fix it. Keep up the awesome work.
Finally, using Tasker along with this plugin I was able to make Android a bit smarter and force it to connect to an AP with a better signal automatically.
I'm using this with Tasker, and it works perfectly. Minor issue fixed by dev almost instantly.
exactly what I was looking, super easy to switch between wifis no problem on Galaxy Tab!
I love the app, developer is very responsive. 11 june 2012: with this update the notification is showing up,{ on the dark theme} Thanks dev.
(Galaxy Note2) This is a nice little app and it works as described. However, users should be warned that this works by disabling all but the selected Wifi configurations. In other words, if you have 4 wifi networks configured (A, B, C, and D), and you use this app to connect to "B", the wifi configurations for A, C, and D are disabled. If you leave the coverage area for B and walk into the area for C, "C" will NOT connect automatically as it's disabled. For this reason, I've requested a refund and only rate it with 2 stars. Disabling all wifi configurations except the one you want to force is a valid way to handle force connection to a specific Wifi configuration. However, the app should immediately re-enable all other configurations after a connection to the selected wifi AP is made (or after a timeout period if the wifi connection never succeeds.)
Does exactly what it is supposed to. Definitely would recommend this app for quick ssid switching.
Not working on samsung galaxy tab
More than just a very useful Tasker plugin...
This app does what it says it will do. I have two routers in my house and I needed something that would easily pick the strongest one which this app did do. Unfortunately it's a huge drain on my battery. Not sure if it's just something with the S3 or what. Bummer. Hunt continues I guess.

exactly what I was looking for! great app. i would like to see more options in styling. especially font and icon align on long labels. and a different set of icon (or ability to use own one)
