Live Wait Times

Although not available in my area this is perhaps one of the most vital apps the NHS could do. I think we the public would use it to help ease the work load of our local units by making informed choices as to the current status of local hospitals. I hope this will be available nationwide soon

Not available in my area but it is fantastic if can be national. Very good idea but needs to be nation wide. Hope it gets bigger as it would be permanent app for emergency

Excellent idea not only for wait times but identifying nearest emergency room. Unfortunately it doesnt cover my area yet. Please put a link in the app itself that allows feedback direct from the app. You would probably get more responses.

What a fantastic idea! Saves unnecessary journeys if your waiting an inordinate amount of time. Well done NHS!

Great app. Unfortunately sometimes let down by hospitals etc not updating waiting times.

amazing as I have a baby so would be ideal on deciding the best place to go but it does not work in my area-slough so when you update it to work over UK you would save so much time and relieve the stress on nhs staff and money..

Outstanding App - excellent source of information supporting waiting times and illustrates the way that the NHS can alleviate some of the current preasure through clever use of data. This should be a standard app across NHS nationwide

Great when we are on holiday in North Wales. Desperately needed in Coventry and Warwickshire area

Good, but only reflects who's on the computer not who's in the waiting room. Hospitals fault though not the app.

Tried it a few times today but it only updated once. Now for the main hospitals it says no data connection. Over 4 hours needs to be accurate. Would probably use this most when actually waiting as you don't like to bother the staff

Very handy if you live mid way between two A&E for choosing which to visit. Of more use when choosing a minor injuries unit as there are more of them. Will be handy whilst actually waiting in the hospital but I agree that 'over four hours' is not useful information, it needs to be the actual delay.......Also suggest that under 'Emergency Info' , users in North Wales are given NHS Direct Wales contact details.

Thankfully I have not had to use this app as yet, but studying it, it would appear to help both patients and A&E staff by providing instant information regarding all the current North Wales A&E waiting times, helping you make an informed choice as to which hospital you chose. I see from people who have used it, there are one or two teething problems. Great idea though!

This review picks up what most other reviewers have pointed out. One of the biggest failures on the app is the limit of the "over 4 hours" I appreciate that this reflects the government targets but the app isn't being used (that I'm aware of, and if it is; there are easy enough ways to extract that info from the numbers provided to obtain that data) as a targets tool, it's being used by everyday people. Any staff at site can provide you with a realistic time frame, why isn't this being passed to app admin?

Really good app. Good to know best place to go based on condition. Would be better to have times over 4 hours stated instead it just saying over 4 hours.
